He is the Phil Steel of the NBA world. He has developed these formulas to attempt to make statistical sense of a sport which is by its nature chaotic, with unbelievably high levels of random error, and no measurable direct causation for most events. He is not always accurate but he does provide a fresh perspective on a lot of things in the game.
