Last year during the Chicago WCF series Lidstrom got speared in the testicles and they got jammed up inside his whatever cavity. So, he had to have surgery to remove them from where they were lodged and bring them back to their rightful place.
And he PRACTICED the next day. You listening to that Allen Iverson???

Lidstrom is one of the all time greats, so I am glad to hear this news.

Red Wings fans are cheering everywhere with this news. I think Nick still has another very good season in him and the Wings (barring the crazy injuries again) should be right at the top of the Western Conference again. Been such a classy player for so long so very happy he will be for likely one more year.

Glad to hear. If he wants to play, it should be with the Wings until he hangs it up. He isnt good enough (ok, maybe just is too old) to be on the first shift defense, but he is invaluable to the team. Very glad he is back, he is one of the all time great defenders and one of my favorite Wings ever.

^^ I think he is still plenty good enough to play top line defense. He was still top 10 amongst defensmen in plus/minus, points, and a couple of categories. He is the best the Wings have and him and Rafalski are still very good lock down players.
