History doesn't mean shit in sports. Let's just get that straight right now. If you're betting, sure. But not if you're playing. All the Lakers have done here is defend their home court--C's could have 3 more chances to take one of them.

Officials have been shit. Probably thank ESPN partially for trying to publicize how physical this series would be--seems like they tried to stop that from happening right off the bat. Which pisses me off because this game has been painful to watch.

Artest hasn't hurt them, but IMO hasn't helped them either. Ariza brings more to the table. And for the reason they brought in Artest (to guard bigger players like Melo and Bron), I don't think it makes much sense. As a LeBron fan, I'd much rather him going up against Artest than Ariza. Anyone in the league that tries to get physical with him gets dominated--Artest included. Ariza as the quickness and the defensive skill to be more effective.

Like I said, hasn't hurt them really. But they'd be that much better with Ariza IMO.

And yeah, no idea what is going on with KG--he's not into this game.

Cue Sage coming in here and telling me he told me so about Gasol killing KG--that's not even what happened. KG just hasn't been in this game from the start for whatever reason.

LeBron is the only one that Artest isn't more effective against. He is much better at defending Melo and Peirce than Ariza was.

Agree about Melo--because of his post abilities and because Melo is kinda a puss anyways. Disagree about Pierce, plus he was able to switch off on Allen or Rondo without a hitch. Better offensive player as well.

Doesn't really matter, they're going to win a title without him lol.

That makes no sense at all as usual. Artest has been huge in the Playoffs and who cares about guarding Lebron, Lebron isn't in the Finals and doesn't play in the West.

Like I said, this is going to be over in 4, maybe 5. Lakers have an answer for Rondo, and when that happens, the Cs are extremely beatable.

I'll man up... Lakers deserved that one... NO WAY IN HELL did we deserve to win that game. FUCK if you're gonna come out w/ that kinda performance in the finals you need your head AND your heart checked... Honestly that looked like the Jan-Feb Celtics. Fuck, looking back at the game I have NO CLUE how in the hell we got 89 points to begin with it just seems like EVERYONE had a bad game it they sure has hell picked a bad night to have a collective off night that's for sure.

Shooting 42% from the field and 1-10 from 3 and just missing WIDE OPEN shots and playing matador defense just all around pathetic. But HONESTLY Fouls 4 & 5 on Ray Allen vs. Kobe were VERY shady and changed the WHOLE context of the game w/ not having your best 3 point shooter on the court to stretch the defense. Rondo has his 13, 8 & 6 BUT it didn't feel like it b/c he took 14 FG attempts the most on the team & like I said earlier that isn't Celtics basketball.... But with 54 total fouls called there was now flow to the game hardly no transition game was allowed in which Rondo excels at the most.

From everything I saw tonight... If we stop w/ the damn unforced Turnovers, stop getting baited into stupid fouls & just be the aggressor that we can be we can steal game 2 BUT they got to show more heart than they did tonight we couldn't get NO momentum... Gotta step it up and be tied 1-1 going back home... we didn't deserve it tonight at all....
