Not even close. sq_crazies predicted a first round loss followed by a meltdown of the Celtic players before the Playoffs began. The Lakers are 1 game from the Finals.

The "collapse" thread will be epic and brought up numerous times over his lifetime.

At least skyhook is smart enough to realize that by collapse I meant a meltdown of Celtics players--but still, it hinged on them losing. And I admitted I was wrong about them losing.

The collapse thread can be brought up as many times as you want to bring it up. It's sad for you guys that you don't realize that all it does it make you look like a bunch of douche bags at this point.

Yeah, they still have to take care of business. Thread was a little premature maybe, but I think they'll get it done.

And fuck ripping on 2quik if they don't, at least he had the balls to make the thread because it's not like we aren't all thinking the same thing--all you dbags that will make fun of him if they don't make the Finals are just that--dbags. And I'm talking about one of the guys who led the charge against me with the Celtics thread...and everyone wants to call me a dbag..lol

While I do agree with the sentiment of not overly ripping on someone for making an inaccurate prediction, I do have to state that I'd guess that if Phoenix would win this series, the people ripping on him for this prediction wouldn't be doing so because of the prediction.

2quik's a Lakers fan who is known for being a bit harsh with the Cavs and their fans. You know, by little things like bumping dozens of threads about the Cavs after they got eliminated and shit. I'd guess that if Phoenix won, his prediction wouldn't be the reason he was being ripped on, but the excuse.

I'm ONE of those Cavs fans. He bumped up a bunch of threads in an attempt to make me look stupid--fact is I don't care.

I appreciate the fact that he has the balls to make this thread before it's set in stone. Like I said, if it doesn't come true (it will and anyone with half a basketball brain agrees that that is the most likely case) and you want to make fun of him, you're a douche bag.

Don't you think that the reason that 2quik bumped all those Cavs threads wasn't because of the predictions but the excuse? Cavs fans aren't exactly saints on here and usually are the ones who start the crap to begin with.

The Suns can definitely win their series against the Lakers except for two things. The home Court advantage rests with the Lakers, and the number one clutch playoff player of all times wears a Laker uniform, and I'm not talking about Luke Walton. Therefore, I'm calling it Lakers, but I don't think they will have to come back to LA. I like the series to end on the Sun's home court tonight. Now, as far as the Celtics chances are concerned, if you check a little NBA history you will find that the Celtics have one of the best records against LA of any team in the NBA during the playoffs, and particularly in the Finals. So...where does that leave us? If Boston wins, it will be because of great team play and the winning shot will come from Paul Pierce or Rondo. If the Lakers win, it will come on a shot from Kobe as he is flying into the scorer's table after having been perfectly guarded by at least four Celtics simultanously at mid court with one tenth of a second left on the clock. Naturally, Kobe will have to add the winning free throw and the shot will bounce on the front rim, bounce on the back rim, roll tantalizingly around the rim three our four times before dropping through the net sending thousands of Laker fans into a furor. I know this sounds crazy and I hope I'm wrong but the Laker mystique may even be too tough for the Celtics to overcome. I hope I'm wrong about the second scenario I present here, but we shall see. (and yes, the foul on Kobe will be a "ghost foul" clearly shown to be a non-foul on instant replay.)
