Alright, I got my new laptop earlier this week and I got Adobe CS5 Master Collection all set up.

I'm using Adobe Catalyst to attempt to redesign my website. Last night I watched the introduction tutorials from their website and they were pretty good... UNTIL:

http://tv.adobe.com/watch/flash-catalyst-1-1-with-doug-winnie/build-a-visual-design-for-your-wireframe-episode-8/

At 0:38, you see a video set up where they can click different videos and it will pop up and the correct description will show.

THEY NEVER SHOWED HOW TO DO THIS. THEY JUST DID IT.

I WANT this for my website(since it is a recruiting website for my high school, the kids videos will be perfect for this). How fucking stupid is it to complete skip that portion of the tutorials? You already made 10 videos, make another one damn it.

I think what they're saying is that it's an automatic thing.

What I got from it was that he built a data list with the videos on it and the software automatically adds the player controls and such.

Although I've never used Catalyst so I don't know what I'm talking about.

I'm still on CS4. I'll probably upgrade to CS5 when I get some more ram and a video card that can do CUDA.

Now, that's an idea. I never thought it'd be automatic. Let me try it and I'll report.

The tutorials are REALLY good, but they skipped this one thing and I want to murder their cat.

There's more to it than just a data list.

This is what I think needs to happen:
Create a datalist that somehow has thumbnails of the video, then make some interaction that when you click different videos they go into the bigger screen and the description part.

I don't know how to do this. If anyone knows, I'll give them 300 intranetz.

I think it has something to do with an action sequence? No idea how to do that.
