My problem isn't necessaruly with Oprah herself, it is with the countless women who think that what is said her show is absolute fact, and it's not debatable.

I never really paid attention to her unless I'd happened to be visiting my mom when she was on, as she sometimes watched her. I'd say I probably heard more about her from people complaining about her supporting Obama or whatever, which is the sort of thing that usually is an "in one year and out the other" thing for me.

So, I guess that means her coming or going is one of those newsbits that will have absolutely no impact on any aspect of my life whatsoever. Other than allowing me to joke that entire studios full of dumpy housewifes no longer will have their dreams of spontaneously obtaining free cars come true.

I think that ties in with what Mr. 300 said comparing her to Rush as far as celebs who have this amazing amount of hate by a lot of people towards them. I look at him as a radio host who spends a lot of time in politics and is fond of hyperbole to enhance his opinions.

Most of my dislike of him could be summed up by paraphrasing what you said to read "My problem isn't necessarily with Rush himself, it is with the countless 'ditto-heads' who think that what is said on his show is absolute fact and it's not debatable."

It sometimes really amazes me how lazy people can be, where they take what an Oprah or a Rush says as absolute fact without doing any actual personal research into what they're saying.

Exactly. People should do some research for themselves and form their OWN opinions.
