Well now that the C's have taken out everyone's favorite, the Cavs, and pretty much just ended things tonight in Orlando; and the Lakers dismantling the Suns the other night....

I ask...

Celtics or Lakers?

Man I dunno, The celtics have really impressed me and we know what happened last time these two faced off.

It's a tough call, I'll just see how it plays out.

I have to agree.

However, if we just look at "best team," it's easily the Lakers.

But, "team that is playing the best," it's the Celtics.

I really like this "new" Lakers team that we've seen in the last 5-7 games. Getting the ball to Pau, Kobe going Black Mamba again, and LO(mainly the last 2-3) FINALLY playing like he is capable of playing. Oh wait LO in game 1 was just "luck." OK Amar'e, can I have some of whatever you are smoking??

I have to say that Boston taking 2 straight in Orlando surprised me. It's obvious they coasted through a good part of the regular season just so their old guys would be fresh to go balls-out for 16+ games. I think they're a scary opponent for the Lakers just because they're in that "fuck the calendar, it's two years ago again" mode mentally...and with their experience, I don't think they'll crumble if they get smacked around by the Lakers in a game or two. They didn't against the Cavs, for sure.

The Lakers are a far tougher team physically/mentally since the Celtics emasculated them in the finals 2 years ago. Not to mention that they had no Bynum at the time. Ron Artest will not allow them to be physically abused the way they were either.

The Lakers would have home floor this time around, which I think the Celtics had last time.

The series this time will be a war as I don't see the Celtics losing 4 times in 7 games the way they are playing right now, but I can say the same thing about the Lakers.

You do realize that if THAT MANY people on this site really had IQs below 60, there would be a lot more "1ths" and probably a lot fewer posts, as I'm pretty sure that normal computer operation or knowing how to turn words into thoughts would be way too complex for them.

Now if you say "below 80", I can get behind that (literally, if they look halfway good!). Those people are just of low intelligence and more in the Homer Simpson category, as opposed to the South Park Timmy class.

If Boston wins the title this year they'd take out Rd 1: Dwayne Wade, Rd 2: LeBron James Rd 3: Dwight Howard and then I'm assuming We both make it Finals: Kobe ... would be a pretty good feat.

I was one of the one's that thought Boston was too old; I'm humble enough to admit it. I think they'll keep the run alive through the finals.

The Celtics are playing well and they've had to do it against better teams (except for round 1). Therefore right now I'll give them the edge.

What really annoys me is that if the Celtics had played like this even the last few months of the season, they would've been the three seed and the Cavs wouldn't have played them until the ECF....who knows what would've happened then.

We would have lost in the ECF then. The celts were better and there is no changing that. They peaked at the right time. Rondo was awesome, Garnett got his legs back (which killed us) and our bigs never would have matched up. Doesn't matter when we would have played them.

The Celtics have surprised everyone, and at this point are probably the favorite.

I think they match up with LA's size better than almost anyone else in the league, which is the biggest advantage LA has in most games.

Bynum vs. Perkins - Perkins is a strong tough guy who will be able to offset the size advantage Bynum has by fighting his position. Bynum is the better player though.

Gasol vs. Garnett - The absolute worst matchup for Gasol. I think KG owns him if they meet

Pierce vs. Artest - Pierce doesn't have to worry as much about defending Artest, and that gets him going offensively


Bryant vs. Allen - Bryant is obviously better, but if Allen can get his 20 and somewhat neutralize Bryant and make Bryant defend him by running around, he might be able to keep this matchup closer than most would think

Fisher vs. Rondo - Biggest individual matchup of the series, and the success continues to fall on the play of Rondo

Bench:
Odom is the best player on either bench, but other than him the Lakers don't really have anyone that scares you. Boston has Big Baby and Rasheed who both are good for fouls and scoring the ball.

If LA decides to go small and play Gasol at the 5 and Odom at the 4, it won't hurt Boston because they can matchup with KG guarding either position.

Still have to go with the Lakers. I'd say it would be a 5-6 game series.

LA moves Kobe on Rondo like they did on Westbrook, they suck in and hold the paint down and destroy the C's. That's what will more than likely happen. Once again, I'll be the one to go out on a limb while everyone else tip toes around because they're too afraid of being wrong.

I really think the Lakers would take the C's in 5 games. They DO NOT match up well. The C's bench would be the only thing that could save them, and they'd have to play lights out.
