I'm thinking about parking at Fountain Square and either walking(been told it's an ok walk) or taking a cab back and forth from the hotel. Any thoughts??

Why not park at the hotel? You'll pay a bit to park at Fountain Square.

And by Quality Inn, I mean the extended stay just across the river lol.

So it looks like we will be taking a cab...maybe??

I'd just park over there and then hoof it across the river. I wouldn't pay to park in Cincinnati if you can leave your car for free at the hotel. You'd have no benefit (unless I am missing something) of parking downtown.

That's a long hike from the Extended Stay to GABP...it's probably around 2 miles or so, and even further to the tailgate lot. If you wanna limit your drinking, driving to Fountain Square would be WAY cheaper than a cab. It's only about half a mile from the stadium...and it's only $5 to park there on game day. I would recommend getting there early because it fills up quick.

Well we are driving down from Columbus early Saturday morning. But we have to make a stop in Florence to pick up my suit for a wedding later in the year. So I was thinking park at FS and take a cab to the hotel or walk and then walk or cab it back downtown for the tailgate.

I had to re-read that like six times to figure that out. LOL.

I would say that if you don't mind the walking...drive straight from Columbus to Florence and pick up your suit. Drive back to the hotel and check in and drop off your luggage. Then walk it over to the tailgate. Save yourself the cab fare and spend it on beer instead.

For me it just depends on how hot it is. I don't want to be sweating my nips off for 2 miles before meeting semi-strangers. I am sure pics will be taken and I don't want to look greasy.

Lol.

Lol.

10 day forecast says 89 degrees with a 10% chance of rain.

I tend to park and party on the KY side of the river, but I'm pretty sure I know what lot that is.

It's really not a bad walk from where you guys are staying. We're likely to end up somewhere over there, too. I'll prepare a list of bars centrally located between our hotels for post game festivities :)

Justin, let me know what time you're headed down. We're heading down fairly early, with a possible stop at Jungle Jim's on the way there.

How early is early, do you think?

we haven't gotten a hotel yet, so it depends on check-in. We'll likely check-in, drop our stuff off, then head out. 3-4 at the earliest probably, though we're definitely flexible.

Oh, that's late for tailgating. I'm starting at 8a.m. :)

I will be at the game for a bachelor party that day. Is there somewhere you guys are meeting up at? I'd like to swing by and say hi to everyone.

I know I'll be roaming around the ballpark for most of the game. Unless I have good seats I like to walk around and watch from different vantage points. I am sure we can figure out a time and place to meetup during the game.

What time will you dudes be showing up at the game? So long as you don't overtake the tailgate and drink all the beer you could swing by there. :)

We are actually debating tailgating ourselves right now. We are staying across the river at the Marriott. Plans are still really shaky right now. I'd be willing to meet up somewhere during the game.

Looks like our check in is at 3. We don't have anything to do between check in and the game so we can head out anytime after that.

BTW, since my bro-in-law moved out for the summer our third floor is open. You can crash at our place if you don't find a room somewhere.

Not if they don't get the fucking bats out! This is re-cock-ulous!

Someone in that clubhouse needs to get Joe Boo a refill!
