I am definitely in for this shindig. It's the weekend of my 1st Anniversary so everyone can buy my wife and I a beer. :)

I was so going to go with 'I'll let you live" but for some odd reason I didn't think it was appropriate.

Gosh. I can't believe you guys have been married a year already.

By the way.....you argued with me about the date of the Adam Dunn walk off grand slam? I looked it up.....I was right. It was June 30, 2006.
You definitely had something to do with it. I've been straddling the line for some time...pulling the "I cheer for both teams" card. But Shapiro hiring Manny Acta was the final push.

And I apologize. I stand corrected on the Dunn walk-off grand slam. I just looked it up myself. Didn't realize that my first date with the little lady was actually in July. I should have known better than to argue with you about Reds trivia. That's like arguing with your brother about ANYTHING sports related.

I totally want to hit on these get-togethers next time I am in Ohio, which probably won't be until Fall 2011 the earliest. Maybe a little OSU football pregame party?

PS Sherm, I meant to ask you, how was your comedy act when you were in New York a few months ago? Completely forgot to hit you up about that

Did five shows total while I was there and got to network and meet a lot of people. Also got to hang out at Gotham and Stand Up NY and hang out and talk with some of my idols.

I completely choked during my audition, but it was an awesome weekend.

I'm hoping I get some TV time in two weeks when Last Comic Standing premieres. Even though I didn't do so hot, getting on TV would be a pretty big deal for getting into clubs.

Congrats for even getting a shot man, that is awesome. I love Gotham, although I like the original Gotham better (saw some great acts there, although I always seemed to miss Seinfeld when he was there).

Random story: my ex girlfriend and I got kicked out of Gotham after she stood up -- DRUNK -- and told Colin Quinn (mid-act) "YOU SUCK!" ...

If the Reds are in first place on June 26th, I'll go, in Reds attire...and I'll buy everyone else that goes a beer and dog. Mark my word.
What if the reds lead the wild card? Maybe you buy everyone a small draft beer (cheaper) and one of those cheap dogs that the vendors bring around.

Thanks man. It was a crazy experience. And hopefully it opens some doors.

And it sucks that you and your ex got tossed out of Gotham for telling the truth. Colin Quinn's stand up is rat-shit-horrible.

I think the Reds are a good, improving team...so I'm not going to be idiotic enough to take that deal! I'm pretty sure the Cardinals are still a better team, and part of me believes my Cubbies are....so that gives me enough confidence to make the first statement (1st place by 6/26).

I think I'm in for this. Unfortunately, I think I'm going to have to drag BF along.

Unfortunately? That's harsh. He seemed like a nice enough guy to me. :)

I added this event to the OC Calendar.

Where do we want to kick of the drinking activities? I can scope out some tailgating spots.

Ha! I'm just kidding. His work schedule got changed for a month-ish, so we actually have weekend nights off together for once.

I'm pretty open for plans. I'm not sure where we're staying yet but if it's not with friends/family, we'll probably stay downtown. I'd prefer to keep stuff in walking/short cab ride distance since I sure plan to not
be able to drive anywhere :)

Where ever.

Never really tailgated for a Reds game, just at the Newport and downtown.

Trying to figure out where to get Fab4 and I's seats. Looking at either section 113, row C or 141 row A(I like sitting in the sun/moon deck, I know others don't).

Who all is going?? Where are ya sitting??

I love sitting out in the sun/moon deck. That's likely where we will end up.

I'm leaning towards the moon deck tickets, they are $20 cheaper and IMO better seats.
