i go with my buddy, who is a yankee fan, when the yankees are in cleveland. sad thing is, there are more yankees fans at the game than indians fans. although the game i went to last year the tribe won on a walk off hit!
but uhhh, i gotta ask, why the hell are you wearing a yankee's jersey when they arent even playing?
When New York shows up in July there will be more Bomber fans there than Indians fans. Its this way everytime I go. I was actually talking to a guy from the Bronx during last year's series and he said tickets to all 3 games in Cleveland plus air travel from LaGuardia was cheaper than going to a game at the new stadium. If the Yanks are winning, things are good. If not, and people are drunk, look out. The one game we lost and it was absolutely awful, had beer poured on me in the bleachers and had food thrown at me constantly throughout the night. Saw a guy yell at an 8 year old wearing Jeter jersey. Really? when is enough enough? at that point I lost all remaining respect I had at the moment for Cleveland fans
yeah, its not just cleveland. i went to the Tigers/Yankees game with my buddy in detroit last week. same thing happend there. we sat out in right field basically listened to nick swisher get bashed the whole game. i think he cried because he actually went and complained to the umpire, even though i wasnt participating, the heckling wasnt even that bad in my opinion, not even any swearing. my friend used to have the same opinion as you, hated cleveland with a passion because of the fans. then got to experience going to yankees games in other stadiums and even with me to the tribe game in KC which i talk about below. my buddy now realizes its is just fans being fans basically and actually even started cheering for the indians in KC with me.

No offense, but you're going to find that where ever you go, not just Cleveland. Maybe not to that degree, but when I went to Detroit wearing my indians hat and shirt, they starting yelling and booing and talkin shit and cussin me out. It happens when you're a rival in the home teams place.
yeah i was in Kansas city when they played the tribe, me and the other tribe fans there didnt get bothered, but the players did. the difference between my story above with nick swisher was he had a crappy game, russell branyan hit a homerun his next at bat after getting heckled by a fan haha. when i was in detroit for the tiger/yankees game the guys next to us were pretty cool about my buddy being a yankee fan. they called us "cleveland"(because thats where we said we were from) the whole night and we even joked about which football team was worse.
