1:10 start today

Arroyo vs. Penny

I like our chances today. The Reds are batting over .300 against Penny. Jay Bruce was 3 for 3 last time out against him, and Joey Votto only has 2 AB's because Penny has walked him FOUR TIMES in 2 games. We're gonna get on base against him....question is can they continue their propensity for timely hitting. And can Arroyo keep it close so our boys can win it?

We shall see!

2/3 ain't bad if they can pull it off. Looks like a showery Queen City today which should help Bronsons frisbees.

Big game today for the Reds, it would be nice to see them take 1st place. Hopefully they keep it for more than a day this year

This would be a huge win for the Reds' confidence. Knowing they can't win the St. Louis series at home would kill their confidence.

How can you not sell out a game on Sunday playing for first place? That's pretty sad, Cincy fans...

I thought rolen pulled up too. Like he hurt his hammy. Let's hope not, or we will have to see cairo. Ughhhhh.

I thought Cabrera hurt his left hand swinging....after watching him let go of the bat and then just watch strike 3....we'll see in 1 at bat

I wonder if the Redds extend this into a non-game if the LaRussa will have his pitcher plunk Rolen.


Rolen or Gomes beating a Cardinal ass would take this team to a level we haven't seen in a long time...a team with an edge about them.

Brad Penny is probably my least favorite pitcher.....he or Brett Myers.

Reds were going to trade for Penny back when he was a muliple 16 game winner for the Marlins...but Penny declined. Screw him and his lazy demeanor.

Hopefully the rain messes with Penny. Thom Brennamen was saying he was getting bent out of shape during a previous start when it started raining
