I thought the VATS system in Fallout 3 was decent. A little easier to use than the Dead Eye meter in RDR - hopefully Fallout New Vegas will expand on the combat.

The characters are stiff, the environments don't look as smooth or detailed as Rock*'s worlds do.
RDR is better than any Bethesda game I've played. I was never a big fan of Oblivion, and Fallout 3, while good, didn't keep my interest.
The story was lame, the character movements were terrible, the Vats system was "ok", but I like the more realistic "Dead Eye" meter as time doesn't completely stop while you target.
Not to mention that when you beat FO3, the game was OVER. UNLESS you dropped down $10 to buy a DLC to expand the game.
But, you can't really compare Bethesda and Rockstar. Bethesda goes for the RPG side of things while Rockstar is pretty much action/adventure...

just finised the day after taking a break for a few days. although the missions got extremely repetitive up to the conclusion, it was still an amazing game.
now i cant wait for La Noire, Agent, and Max Payne 3 all from Rockstar.

LA Noire looks amazing and could probably be even better than RDR..
