Yeah, I had around $45 in credits that I needed to use up, so I found that code on some site and it worked...so I only paid about 10 bucks after tax.

By the way, if you have both a 360 and a PS3 get it on 360. It's slightly better looking because it runs at 720p on the 360 and at 640p on the PS3. Of course they both get unscaled and in motion the games are pretty similar but it's just a thought.

Most of the time games look extremely similar and I'd still argue that RD:R looks pretty similar too. It's just that depending on the game and how it's made you sometimes get one platform that's better suited for it.

I imagine what makes the 360 able to provide that little bit better experience (more foliage, higher native resolution) is that it has more RAM. I doubt the PS3 has trouble rendering the environments but that it's more limited in the RAM it has so it can't waste it by storing all the extra foliage/higher res textures in memory. And caching only gets you so far.

Everytime I turn the damn thing on I have to do another system update that takes almost an hour after download and install. Only reason I keep the PS3 is Blu-Ray, besides that, I'd sell it.

Oh, I have heard that it can be bad if you don't use it all too much. I don't understand why updates take so long on the PS3 (I've heard this from a number of people). Seems weird.

But yeah, the PS3 is one of the better Blu-Ray players on the market.

The problem between the 360 version and PS3 version is that usually mutliplats are developed on the 360 and "ported" over to the PS3, thus losing some of the quality.

When you compare 1st party titles, there really isn't much of a comparison. PS3 games look amazing.

With that said, I no longer have my 360 because I hate it. I was on my 4th one and I was scared everytime I turned it on.

As for the PS3 updates, I don't have that problem. Seriously, if you have issues with downloading updates, you may want to check your transfer rate.

^^^FWIW, I have both systems hard wired to my router and the PS3 is much, much slower. It is very frustrating and there is no reason for it to be like that.
