When I just turned 18 I was playing the best golf of my life.....and I was pretty darn good and playing on a pretty short and easy course......I shot a career best 58 as well....but I had a par 4 and a par 5 still to play.
58 is silly.

Hm the course was 6500 yards. Considering there were 2 less par 5s (par 70) so being generous let's add about 250 yards to 6750.
Not anywhere close to as far or probably as hard as a PGA course, but the fact that he made 12 birdies is legitimate no matter what, because it doesn't matter how short a course is you still have to put the ball close and/or make some long putts at some point.
Pretty awesome round, though Duval's 59 is probably better, speculating of course, just because it came on a longer course that was par 72.

I would tend to agree.
However I would say Rory McIlroy's 62 was a better round of golf.

6500 yards? I'd shoot a 58 too if I played that short of a course.
