2-1 Pittsburgh after one period of play. Pens PP clicking in this game which is huge, Montreal has to be thinking a little the next time they try to engage someone.

that first power play was a thing of beauty

great passing and then Sarge with the drive past Halak

Staal got way too free from that range

Versus production of these games has a lot to be desired but I do give them credit for their bench reporters........that Charissa Thompson is smoking hot!

Pens looked a little rusty first five minutes then cranked it up

it will be interesting to see how Montreal comes out in the second

do they try to be more aggressive? that could backfire and lead to penalties

I'm surprised Versus doesn't have Caps play by play man Joe Beninati doing this series. He did the Eastern Conference finals last year and did a great job. His color guy was good too, can't remember his name.

I wish FSN had this game, love Bob Errey and "Steigy" on the call.

I think Montreal is going to sit back, no need for them to get desperate.........yet. If and when they decide to open it up, it should play right in to Pittsburgh's hands.
