I think Crawford just always wants everyone watching to know he's there.

my favorite (or least favorite) Crawford debacle was the play where he fouled Damon Jones (literally, Crawford bullrushed him and pushed him out of bounds) and he calls the foul on Billups. It was so heinous! I hate Detroit and was cussing a storm up at that shit.

You can pretty much say both of your arguments there for any other sport.

I think you're underestimating how well you play in a gym you're familiar with. Setting behind the rim, familiarity with the whole arena, not getting off a plane and playing 5 hours later, all things that give the home team a huge advantage in the NBA.

lol. that's a good one. i like how the announcers acted like joey didn't run into jones.

this is one of my favorites. i bet he practices his ejection dance in the mirror before bed each night.

All NBA refs are a joke and far and away the worst of the 4 major sports and it's not even close. These videos of Crawford are all you need to see if you don't think ref's have agendas out there and want to be apart of the game. My favorite one (couldn't find the video of it) was from 2003 I believe during a Pistons game where Jon Barry lost his shoe so the Pistons fouled a player on the other team so Jon could get his show back on. He picks up his shoe, runs past the ref who called the foul so he can put his shoe on and the ref called a tech on him. Was an absolute joke of a call as he never said anything to the ref, just ran past him to get to the bench to get his shoe on.

And when you hear things from Donaghy about how refs view certain players, it doesn't surprise me one bit some of the calls you see now.

Not a problem in the playoffs, since all games are about 4 days apart, haha.

After the Tim Donaghy fiasco (I've been wanting to read his book, actually) you really can't rule out refs having secret intentions.
Joey Crawford can go fuck himself. If David Stern had any sense he would have fired his moron years ago.

You won't see me defending NBA officials. I agree with your statement.

But, the NBA is played with the most talented athletes in a small confined space where a lot of the contact is subjective.

Contrary to that, the calls given to stars and the home team is frustrating.

I know it's not fixed, but after the 3 fouls in a row on Miller and Noah tonight against Shaq you have to wonder.

I'm totally on your side now. I don't usually believe in conspiracies but never in my life have I ever seen Shaq get fouled before...so I see your point.

Surprising because Salvatore is one of the more respected refs from what I have heard.

lol right. I would have been liked that too. I'm still trying to figure out what the crowd got to do with a tech.

And the way he explained still didn't make any sense. "It wasn't your play and you went from here to there and brought the crowd down"

WHAT?!?!?!?!?
