He made a point last week of saying they would not reach for picks this week, and so far both picks can be considered reaches as both guys could have been had much later in the draft.
He's a reach because retards like Mel Kiper didn't project them in the 2nd round?

Being a "reach" is all subjective.
I actually agree with the Kiper comment. But this guy was rated late 3rd by many.
"By many"

What does that even mean? By who? By some joe-schmo who randomly projects how the draft will go? The only projections that matter are the front office people's projections of the talent, and since no one gets to see those, who really knows where this guy was "actually" projected?

Could you see NE taking a QB to groom under Brady? Maybe Colt or Claussen to NE.

Wouldn't mind seeing Cleveland trade with NE as they have some 2nd's available.

Browns fans judging by those calling into the radio show are demoralized already because of this draft as fans get disgusted when you draft guys high in the second round that would have been there when you picked in the 3rd.
Oh yeah that makes tons of sense..the defense got shredded in a game, so the safety must be awful!

USC's defense was shredded in a lot of games this year, I hope they say the same about Everson Griffin, Taylor Mays, etc.

Browns fans need to ask themselves this question--if you can't build around a guy who has had the career that Delhomme has, how can you expect to build around Clausen? They need to do exactly what they're doing, none of these QB's will be that great. They need to build up a team and see what happens down the road as far as getting a QB. You of all people should know this Browns fan. You saw it with Tim Couch. A QB is only as good as his team.
I hear what you're sayin. But the Browns have a good offensive line to protect the quarterback. That wasn't the case 10 years ago.

There's no better time to address the qb problem than now. I can now see the browns drafting Pike or Lefevre down the road. That is a mistake in MO.

Dan LeFevour, I believe is how his name is spelled. He could be a steal for someone. :)

The coverage has been a little choppy again tonight. Doesn't feel like it is in-synch at all.

I listed one and there are plenty others than rated this guy bottom third round.

Nobody on this board knows anything for sure....I'll give you that.

DL had some decision problems on who to throw to as well. He was a great MAC quarterback...but is not a pro caliber guy, I agree.

Projections are what they are. To simply dismiss them and claim "the team's draft board is what matters" is naive. If this was the case, you can say there was never a bad pick ever in an NFL Draft.

I'm not sure what the Browns were doing in the 2nd round.
