The draft isn't a place to take chances when you need as much help as the Browns do.
Are you saying TJ Ward was? The projected 3rd rounder with a long injury history? Questionable pick. I don't think it was awful, just a reach.

The Bucs are having a hell of a draft so far.

I think its really Craig Stadler in the war room, not Mike Holmgren.

Did they bar Holmgren from the draft room or something?

He made a point last week of saying they would not reach for picks this week, and so far both picks can be considered reaches as both guys could have been had much later in the draft.

You get the guy you want, clearly that is who they wanted. Looks like a solid player to me, bigger need than the QB spot too if you ask me.

Holmgren looks like he just came from a heated war room

unless I'm reading it wrong

could be some friction already

I was losing it when Mel Kiper went crazy about Sam Bradford at the start of the draft tonight.

Cbssports ranked Ward as the 95th player....LOL. If nothing else, the Browns will have the most midgets in the secondary.

He's a reach because retards like Mel Kiper didn't project them in the 2nd round?

Being a "reach" is all subjective.

Kiss of death from Holmgren: "I have alot of faith in Eric Mangini."

This draft is looking just like last years, taking lots of high character low impact guys. This draft has Mangini's prints all over it.

It's funny how this is such a shock that these QB's are dropping--you guys have been spoon fed the BS for far too long. Kiper is clearly just a dumbass, most of you should have already known that. Not saying neither of them will be a good player, no guarantees anywhere. But there is a reason no one has picked them yet--especially when they're getting passed up for teams with QB needs.

I actually agree with the Kiper comment. But this guy was rated late 3rd by many.

Browns fans need to ask themselves this question--if you can't build around a guy who has had the career that Delhomme has, how can you expect to build around Clausen? They need to do exactly what they're doing, none of these QB's will be that great. They need to build up a team and see what happens down the road as far as getting a QB. You of all people should know this Browns fan. You saw it with Tim Couch. A QB is only as good as his team.

Kenny Roda just made a good point. Terrell Pryor couldn't throw on anybody last year, and the Oregon secondary made him look like Peyton Manning back there. Sounds about right they would draft one of their safeties.

Browns fans judging by those calling into the radio show are demoralized already because of this draft as fans get disgusted when you draft guys high in the second round that would have been there when you picked in the 3rd.

If the Raiders traded the pick, then why did it say the Raiders' pick "was in" haha
