Horrible trade for the Steelers. The Jets absolutely fleeced them in this trade.

A 5th for a Super Bowl MVP who is only 26 is such a terrible trade....

Damn I am pissed.

Well, the bad news for the Jets is that he'll probably only be available for 12 regular season games and they're gonna have to pay his ass big money to keep him after this season.

Steelers must've just wanted him out as soon as possible.

I hope they use some of the picks to move up and get Tate.

They have four 5ths but can only trade two of them because the other two are compensatory.

Maybe they can trade a 3rd and 5th or something like that.

Hey Al,

Steelers just got bent over and screwed by this deal. Now insert that Holmes is a bad apple to try to make it look better lol.

Even if Holmes plays 12 games, he'll still make a great impact in the Jets offense especially if they make the playoffs once again. The Jets will be okay without him for 4 games, but they'll be very dangerous on offense for the rest of the 12 games plus the playoffs.

He was very good for the Steelers and he served his purpose but he wasn't going to be a Steeler after this season regardless with his contract situation. I guess a 5th rounder is better than nothing if you look at it that way.

No, its not better.

You keep him on the team, have him play 12 games plus the playoffs assuming the Steerlers make it.

Then you let him walk if he was truly going to leave anyways. What is the odds that a 5th rounder is going to turn into a solid starter?

I never question Pittsburgh's handling of stuff like this and I never will.

They know what they are doing. Do I wish they would have got something better of deal? Hell yes! Will I lose sleep over it? No.
