Upset city last night; probably means it'll be all blowouts for the home teams tonight, but I can dream. Really didn't think Philly would hang with NJ, and Detroit just couldn't put their great start to last night's game to good use. Excited for tonight's games.

I didn't think Philly would beat Jersey either. Are the Devs cracking under the pressure???? They've not met post-season expectations in a while. I gotta believe theres some pressure on them and Brodeur to win.

SJ's gotta be thinking "here we go again", lol.

I was impressed by the way Phx settled in after a shaky start against Det. They really grinded Det down in the last 2 periods. That place looked like a fun place to be last night. Some big time hits. Kronwall got Kronwalled along with a few others.

Its funny, all the higher seeds lost except for the one everyone expected to lose......

^^^^^New Jersey cracked under pressure last year. Philly does have the upper hand on the Devils. they went 5-1 during the regular season against them.

Tonight's games:

(8) Montreal @ (1) Washington 7pm (VS)
(6) Boston @ (3) Buffalo 7:00 pm
(6) LA @ (3) Vancouver 10pm (VS)

Wings got hosed on 2 horrendous non calls in the 3rd period, one which led directly to the Coyotes scoring the winning goal. The other a blatant high stick to Lidstrom right at center ice. Ref's were bad both ways but those 2 non calls were tremendous.

Coyotes had their fun in game 1 and now it gets serious tomorrow.

Everyone was/is expecting the Wings to take at least one game in PHX. Not having seen the Yotes play until last night, it's natural to be skeptical of them when they're facing a top team like DET, but they survived the first and then really played physical in the 2nd and 3rd on the way to win.

The officiating wasn't the tops, but PHX did kill 3 penalties in one period I think (2nd) so DET did hav echances, they just couldn't convert them into goals. If the Yotes win gm 2 then I'll be convinced they are for real.....( which is weird b/c they were good fo r82 games so I should already accept they deserving)

Until then it's hard to accept that they are the better team, even though they may be...

As of right now, are the Avs better than the Sharks?

Wings certainly had chances but they easily could have had more with those 2 calls. The high stick on Lidstrom would have given them a 5-3 so who knows but didn't happen. Have to come back, play better, and get the split.

Caps and Habs tied at 1 through 2. Caps defense has been awful, and the Habs defense has been pretty good.

Sabers ahead of Bruins 2-1 less than 5 in the 2nd.

....and the Caps lazziness allows the Habs to grab the puck and score. 3-2 Habs final.
Both number 1's are down 0-1.

Gotta love the playoffs.

Hawks scored, up 1-0, near the end of 2
Devils got a late goal and are up 4-3 less than 2 to go.
