Anyone who has a problem with this thread can kiss my ass. It's well deserved for all the Kobe dick sucking about how great of a closer he is. He could go 0-9 in the last 5 minutes of a game, lose his team's lead and then hit a shot to win the game and we'd hear about how amazing of a closer he is. lol

Sundiata Gaines is a good closer too...

I mean, I'm saying that for a reason and that reason will be understood by most.

But as far as this performance by Kobe goes, I'll say the same thing I'd say about LeBron. That's a statistical oddity, shit happens on certain days, not really a big deal. For guys like LeBron and Kobe, they're not on top because everything goes there way--it just goes their way more often than other guys. Nobody shoots 100%, even if you're 80% from the FT line that 20% comes from somewhere. Likely hasn't happened before, likely never will again.

If we're speaking in terms of quality vs. quantity, the Kobe dick sucking far exceeds LeBron's. You just see more about LeBron because at least 90% of us are either from Ohio or still live here. And guess what, Cleveland is in Ohio.

If you take it to a national scale, I'm not sure anything comes close to the level of dick suckers Kobe has.

Definitely just the FT's. A poor shooting game is not a statistical oddity for Kobe.

I'm going to qualify any game under 40% shooting as a poor shooting game for a guy as good as Kobe. In 1,020 games he's shot under 40% in 356 of them, hardly an oddity.
