Nothing hypocritical about it. It's perfectly normal for children (of all ages) to push limits, and it's the job of the adults to set and enforce them.

1. You started the "who's smarter" crap by calling me a dumbass.
2. Who said anything about God? Moral issues does not require anything religious at all.

Definition of moral (adj.)

Of or concerned with the judgment of the goodness or badness of human action and character.

Last I checked, nothing about religion or God in the Webster's dictionary definition.

People can have good morals without believing in "God".

Ok, well I'm sorry that I assumed that it had something to do with God--based on the fact that nearly everyone that talks about morality is speaking with some religious reference in their mind. But you're right, that's my bad.

Either way, my minuscule IQ can't hang in this discussion of high school kids...then again, this reminds me of a collection of teachers and administrators from a high school, a bunch of people who assume they know what's best for a bunch of high school kids because of their supreme intelligence. 99% of the time, that refers to the instructors that all the kids hate. I can see how an intelligent person would think that kids hating their teacher is the best way to go. I guess I shouldn't be surprised by this discussion.

SQ, you "lost" this discussion when you used the logic that well, they do it "this" way so they should be allowed to do it that way at a HS dance.

That logic fails on so many levels and then you come back with "dumbass" and attack the "person" istead of the argument/point itself.

Its called an "ad hominem" logical falacy. Your logic/argument fails when your last resort is to attack the other person instead of the merits of their argument.

we're not saying what is or isn't best for them. At a school function, there are common levels of decency that should be observed. Not everyone should be subjected to having to view all of the dirty stuff that goes on if they don't want to.

No, HS events have stricter rules than what most kids are "doing" for a reason.

It would be different if it was one of the "dance clubs" that had "teen night" like the old Boot Scoot Saloon did back when I was in HS and they were dancing like that at the club. That I would have no big issue with, but at a HS event, you don't allow stuff like that.

Just like you have stricter dress codes in HS than what most of the kids wear around town.

I said a few times if they go dance like that at a party or dance club, fine, but it shouldn't be in a school function.

SQ just wants to jump all over people and call them a dumbass instead of looking at it as a whole.

Sorry, over exaggerated, how about "many"?

Not to mention that I'm not so sure that "most" would really classify how "they dance" nowadays (dry humping) as SQ said they do.

And for most of these kids, unless they have the teen nights or whatever, I don't know how you get into the club, unless you have a fake ID. Most bouncers can spot those things from a mile away
