As an alum this outrages me!

Ok, not really, but I think it's pretty stupid. Come on, Wes. You were one of my favorite teachers but this is a little too much.

See no problem with this.

I know we werent allowed to do it at our prom or homecomings. Girl i was dating from another school...well.. at her HC you oculd pretty much do anything but have penetration at the dances...

If he's 40, then that's even worse. Still old compared to an 18 year old.

I'm not an advocate of people boning on the dance floor--but it's a joke to make rules about how kids can dance. Sorry older people, but your generation is the one who allowed (in a lot of cases pushed) society to become more perverse. Didn't so many kids hate the 50's mindset, weren't they fans of Elvis moving his hips? See what I'm gettin' at...anytime I hear something like this, I always think it's retarded.

Some of the stuff I remember seeing at prom was really risque. I don't see why kids have a problem keeping it clean for 2 or 3 hours or however long you're there. You can still have great time and not be dry humping somebody all over the dance floor

Seems like a place called "Licking Valley" would have bigger things to worry about than some questionable dancing ...

Newark, Ohio, doing something that seems backwards and retarded to the rest of the world? The hell you say! What else, is the sky blue?

I think some of you who are "against" this might not know what really goes on at HS proms/homecomings nowadays. Kids are basically dry humping on the dance floor, its more of an adult dance club than a HS occasion.

Sorry, call me "old fashioned" but I'd rather not see teenagers dry humping at a HS event. And I'm "only" 30.

I graduated high school in 2005. I have a sister who is a senior right now. I know exactly what is going on.

It's how they dance, don't have the dance if you don't want to them to do it. These people setting these rules went through the same shit when they were younger and were part of a generation that, as I said, either pushed the perversion or stand by and let it happen. Now they want to bitch? Hypocrites.

Well, if its "how they dance" is your logic, then because most teenagers nowadays send "sext" pictures back and forth on their phones should they be allowed to view porn in a computer class in HS?

No, HS events have stricter rules than what most kids are "doing" for a reason.

It would be different if it was one of the "dance clubs" that had "teen night" like the old Boot Scoot Saloon did back when I was in HS and they were dancing like that at the club. That I would have no big issue with, but at a HS event, you don't allow stuff like that.

Just like you have stricter dress codes in HS than what most of the kids wear around town.

Dumbass? Or maybe someone who just is much smarter than you and can see the whole picture instead of just using bad logic like "well, its how they dance so it should be ok at a school function".

You mean like banning flip flops because you can't run in them during a fire drill. Ignore the fact that they're easily taken off, but what about the fact that you aren't supposed to be running during a fire drill and it isn't practiced as controlled chaotic running either. LOL, it's just people getting old and turning into their parents after the spent fucking years trying to push away from those beliefs.

LMAO!!! I'm supposed to believe you're smarter than me and can see the whole picture when you attack ONE part of my post and ignore the rest of it?

Not to mention you think my entire argument is that's how they dance...but I'm the one who is close minded. LOL you really are a dumbass.

And you called me a dumbass?

Do you really just think that through? We were talking moral issues in a school like dry humping and dress codes. So, it should have been quite obvious I was talking about the moral dress codes (aka short skirts/shorts, etc) not some dumb flip flop rule.

The rest of it? Your first statement was horrid logic so the rest of it about Elvis moving his hips has no real merit.

Your statement said "its how they dance, if they don't want them to do that then don't have the dance". That pretty much sums up your argument other than Elvis moving his hips or something.

And yes, I'm smarter than you.
