It is clear that he was not ready to win this week, as when the pressure ratcheted up, his swing fell apart. Phil is having a great tournament and I am happy to see him win his 3rd. I wasn't expecting it this week after the way he has been playing, but he definitely was in the right place to win this week and played amazingly on the weekend.

You posted before the round that you "hoped tiger would blow up with an 80" so that means, objectively, we can say that you don't like him. Why shouldn't the announcers follow what he does on the course. When Phil wins this, he still has 10 majors to go to catch Tiger. If you can't see the amazingness in that, then you are blind. But they haven't really been talking about him in the last hour, because he shot himself out of it. Clearly your hate makes it seem like they are talking about him every two seconds because you notice every time they mention him. But he hasn't really been shown live even for the last half hour or so.
But he's all they show!!!!

This is a great story with Phil and his family, and the struggles they have gone through. Phil deserves this win, as he has played beautifully.

Too much Phil, I agree. Don't they know there is other golf being played?

Everybody in the world has 3 putted from 3 feet before...more than a few times in their careers.

Jack has done it, Arnie did it...everyone has done it.

I'm sure you've done it dozens of times.

Shit happens.

Westwood needs a birdie here to stay in it

nope

three shot lead with two left

17 is a fast green and Mickelson could possibly bogey that one but that's about it

Phil has 2 green jackets since Tiger's last one. New perennial favorite at Augusta?

I'm glad Phil is going to win although I was pulling for Tiger.

Nice surge for Anthony Kim also, hes one of my new favs. Hes going to be around for a looooong time.

Tiger is only 34 though

Mickelson is 39. I still think Mickelson will contend for awhile, at least another 5-6 years. He could get a couple more Green Jackets.

But Tiger isn't done. He'll get to Jack's six.

AK needs to learn how to win under pressure. When he wins, it is usually comfortable. He didn't learn how to win at every level like a Tiger Woods or Phil did.

Westwood knocks in a birdie and Mickelson three putts from there, that's only a one shot lead

I'm not a Phil fan, but he's played a great tournament. Getting himself out of trouble was the difference.

Yes, great grinding by Tiger when his swing looked awful at times.

This might have an interesting finish....

Before the tournament started I picked the winner to finish 10 under, so by my standards I think Tiger has played great. I just underestimated the field, but for his first tournament back, especially under this big of a spot light, he's played great. Just inconsistent but that's what happens when you get rusty. Looks great going forward.

How good is that tourney record of -18 by Tiger in 1997? The players have been eating this up, and Phil is still 3 shots shy of it.

Clutch, clutch putt on 17.
