Curious where you land on law enforcement's use of facial recognition technology, i.e. the NYPD, vs. San Francisco's recent ban on the use of such technology.
Not as extreme as what the UK is doing in that tweet but I've always been very uneasy with law enforcement's use of facial recognition here in the US, NYC being a prime example. I don't think they use that technology for reasonable law enforcement purposes all the time and its use here is pushing us towards an oppressive surveillance state like the UK.
Folks asking for us not to be like Europe should I guess be cheering Sam Francisco's decision, which isn't always the case for those folks.

In the meantime everybody is cutting on the kids when they didn't go up to this guy like the original video made it out to be.
We on this site are just as guilty of getting on our high horse and popping off when we don't know the full story as is anybody on Twitter.

I've heard reports that the Native American got involved to keep the MAGA kids from African-American protesters, so who knows.
Diocese released a good statement condemning these acts and sounds like the kids are likely to be expelled, assuming we don't hear something very different about what happened.

I recently came back from 4 years in New Zealand, no major ailments but partner had a few and experience there far easier than our experience in US.
Only thing i preferred to US compared to NZ was the employee sponsored vision and dental.
Everything else, quality of care, wait, cost, NZ was heaps better, and I was just on a temp work visa.
You should be able to afford and have access to the care that is required for the illness or ailment you have without the outrageous costs and sometimes bankruptcy that go along with that for many people in the US today.
Right now, I don’t need free I just want people to have care that doesn’t make them go broke simply because they got sick. You should be able to get sick, pay a reasonable price, and get treatment.
Seems like many cancer patients in the US still end up shelling out thousands of dollars for treatment even when they have good insurance.
