Still didn't win it by himself. They had some nice players--I do agree it's the closest but my point still remains, no one wins it alone.

LOL, ever heard of Clyde Drexler?

And had it not been for gambling being illegal and frowned upon, Hakeem never would have won it.
Pre-Drexler...They won a ring with and won a ring without. 2nd leading scorer their during their first title season(regular season) was Otis Thorpe at 14.1 and then Maxwell with 13.6. Playoff time The Dream had averaged twice as many as their 2nd leading scorer-Maxwell. Their leader in assists had 5.1(!!!). No other All-Stars(no other Cav this year too), no one else in the top 10 of any of the other major categories(Points, Blocks, Steals, Assists, Boards). Olajuwon was top 4 in 3 of those categories.

Looking this up when you made you and krazie posted about Drexler.

I actually agree with Kobe being the pick. They both have the rings. I just think Kobe has been more productive the past couple years, which gives him the edge. Shaq was the team MVP the first couple years, but make no mistake, he wouldn't have the rings if it were not for Kobe either.

No shock here with those who can see things for what they are and not want they want them to be.

LOL, you're confusing the two different groups of people discussing this.

I can't believe Duncan only got 8% of votes. I'd say it would be a tough choice between Kobe and Duncan for who is the best and I'd probably give the edge to Kobe.
