It will hurt you more if he stays Mike more than me if he goes, bank on it.

K does this every five or six years. Some NBA team makes an offer, it gets public, K "agonizes" over the decision and then ultimately chooses Duke and releases some sappy release as to why.

Not really...I could give less than a damn whether LeTurd stays or goes....
I can't wait or this summer when he goes where ever he does...and to see all you front-running Cavs "fans" bitch and moan and call him a idiot and an a$$hole

Nice try.

i'll be upset if he leaves, he is my favorite player on my favorite team. I'll still root for the cavs if he leaves, I'll still like him (I liked shaq in his prime and he never played for the cavs). It will sting if/when LBJ leaves, but it's as much Ferry's fault as LeBron's that this team will suck without him.

I want $162M, but I'm not getting it. Even though they're in Hell, the Nets can still dream.

Lebron could leave for a hundred different reasons......Coach K coaching the Nets is not one of them.

if things aren't going well through a quarter of the season I wouldn't be surprised to see Coach K fake a injury again and sit out the rest of the year.

Won't happen. If it did, it would make me rethink where LeBron will play next year.

lol.
What happened to Rick Pitino?
Yep. A 60+ year old Coach K, a 4 win franchise, a CHANCE at a #1 pick... That's how you build a dynasty.
"Sorry Cleveland and my teammates that I love, but I can't pass this up!" - LeBron James.

No one could "see this."
Coach K has already slammed the door shut on this. Did so in a session with the press on Friday morning.
Besides, if he didn't leave for the Celtics or the Lakers, when both of the NBA's two greatest organizations wanted him badly, he isn't leaving for the lowly Nets.
Keep dreamin' is right.

If K did leave for the Nets (hypothetically, of course, cause it isn't happening), and he was able to convince a Chris Bosh or a DWade to sign as free agents in the off-season (which he very well could considering the close relationship he has built with these guys; they absolutely adore K), I don't think it would be out of the possibility for LeBron to make the jump to Newark.
Coach K and LeBron would be a match in heaven, and could do serious hardware damage with the right personnel built around them.
If Coach K can win gold, he can win an NBA championship. Ask Kobe, 'Bron, Wade or a number of other NBA stars, and they'll tell you so. Outside of being one of the best basketball tacticians in the history of the game, he's also one of the best communicators. And that's why he'd succeed. He has a brilliant mind for business, which is largely what the NBA is about, and he could more than make impact in the league.
Don't kid yourselves.

Which is exactly why LeBron fans are so quick to pull out their quips on this subject. Fear. Krzyzewski isn't going anywhere, but they know that if he did, the LeBron Cavs may be leaving the NBA's spotlight for decades.

LOL, I know you have a big crush on Coach K, but that's a BIG maybe. I think it'd add an interesting twist into the discussion but I'm not sure he'd be any more likely to leave Cleveland. I know he likes K, all those Olympic guys do, but he's being coached by a COTY winner. K is an unproven NBA coach. Success in college doesn't equate to NBA success. I put the chance of him leaving Duke at about 1% anyways--just because NJ wants him doesn't mean he wants to go there. Turned down the Lakers, I don't see him taking the NJ job. NJ is just trying to make a big splash anywhere they can, they want to improve the franchise. They're moving, new owner, big FA period coming up--now is the chance, so this is just a ploy and if it works it may do great things for them but this is nothing more than a dream.

I know rec has his angle on things with K, I don't necessarily disagree.
I'm not naive enough to think LBJ wouldn't leave but I think people under estimate his loyalty and what it would mean to him to return to Cleveland in another uniform. The guy is part human afterall, and I know it would be weighing on my mind pretty heavily all things considered. I don't think K (of course he's not leaving) or anyone else would outweigh that IMO.

If Coach K can win gold, he can win an NBA championship.
Coach k can win with the best players. He has yet to prove that he can win with anything but the best players. Your analogy fails on so many levels.
Bob Knight won gold. Does that mean he could win an NBA championship?? I think not.

I think Radio from Radio (the movie) could have coached the Redeem Team and they still would have the same results.
