What a 30 team trade would look like...Aka fantasy basketball.

http://www.realgm.com/src_feature/1623/20100216/what_a_30_team_trade_looks_like/
Cavaliers trade: Zydrunas Ilgasuskas, J.J. Hickson, Wally Szczerbiak (S&T at $8.67M)
Cavaliers receive: Antawn Jamison, Ben Gordon

- The salary burden is humongous, but would you bet against LeBron James keeping his same team in tact while adding a much-ballyhooed 'Stretch 4' along with a pure scorer.

Actually, Eddy Curry has a $11.2 million player option for next year, and if exercises it, the Knicks wouldn't be able to resign Lee and get LeBron and Bosh. I still fully expect him to go though.

Windy:
As you read these 4-for-1 Heat/Suns trade scenarios, realize the Suns have just two roster spots open.

Yes, the Suns could cut a player but all salaries are guaranteed and they're in the tax. Would have to be major savings for them to do it.

Bosh is the only one of the 3 that I feel has even a chance of signing with the Knicks, but I doubt that. LeBron and Wade, nearly a zero percent chance of either signing with the Knicks, IMO. We'll see...

Supposedly they were talking about a rumor this morning on AM 570 that had the Lakers dealing Sasha/Ammo and future first round picks to Detroit for Tayshaun Prince. This sounds WAY too good to be true, but has anyone heard any rumblings?

The New York Knicks are finalizing a deal to acquire Houston Rockets forward Tracy McGrady, an NBA source told SI.com.

The framework of the deal involves sending McGrady to New York for forward Jared Jeffries, guard Larry Hughes and forward Jordan Hill. The Knicks and Rockets have agreed to swap 2011 first round picks and the Knicks will send the Rockets their first round pick in 2012.

The only outstanding issues involve protection for the draft picks.

The deal could be completed as early as tomorrow.

I'm not so sure about that Nate Robinson trade. Eddie House is a guy that can change the momentum of a game with his 3-point shot. What would Robinson bring to the table?

I honestly see the Robinson-House trade as a lateral move for the Celtics, it's basically a move to say you made a move.

Nate will also be a change of momentum guy, he can score in bunches

True. Nate does have a 41-point game to his name this season.

According to multiple sources, the Celtics [team stats] and Knicks are close to a deal that would bring guard Nate Robinson to the Celts, possibly in exchange for Eddie House.
...The 10 billion dollar phrase...."Close to a deal". We have heard that for the past two weeks with the Cavs and Amare/Jamison and the Heat and Amare.

Curve ball on the way...

Randy McIlvoy(a sports Director of a Houston TV channel) tweets..

the source says it's not a done deal but "likely" to the Bulls. Stay tuned...

and...

A good source of mine has just informed me , Tracy McGrady and his close support group are preparing for a trade to Chicago.

-----------------------

If anyone wants to make the tweet appear like a regular copied tweet be my guest. I hardly use that site.
League sources said the Bulls have offered Brad Miller, Tyrus Thomas and either Kirk Hinrich or John Salmons to the Rockets for McGrady, who has been granted a leave and is training in Chicago.

I hope to god Boston does that Nate Robinson trade.. Eddie House has a knack for camping at the 3 point line and hitting those clutch 3's..

Nate is a ball dominating PG who doesn't work quite as well w/o the ball as House does..

This move gives the Celtics more "talent" but doesn't make them a better team, imo..

Besides, there would have to be other pieces in the deal, I don't think the contracts add up.

Both the Knicks and Bulls would be giving up exponentially too much for McGrady.

I also see the Boston trade as a lateral move. Robinson is the more explosive overall player, but both can get hot offensively, and both are big time liabilities on defense.

Out of LA:
Lakers probably won't be trading players
Deal with Bulls for Kirk Hinrich seems unlikely as trade deadline approaches.

By Mike Bresnahan
Los Angeles Times
February 17, 2010

It's the busiest week of the regular season, the cellphone-minute-burning, deal-making period from the All-Star game to the trade deadline.

The Lakers have been making and taking calls, but they're still not expected to be big players before the Thursday noon deadline.

The Lakers and Chicago Bulls are at a stalemate in talks for reserve guard Kirk Hinrich. The Bulls want to part with Hinrich's contract (two more seasons after this for a total of $17 million), but they will take back only expiring contracts. The Lakers, definitely conscious of how far they are over the luxury tax, have an expiring contract of note in Adam Morrison ($5.3 million) but they want the Bulls to also take Sasha Vujacic, who has one more season at $5.5 million.

The Bulls have turned their attention to other teams, leaving only a small chance of a trade with the Lakers. Hinrich, 29, was averaging 10.2 points and 4.4 assists coming into Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Lakers are well aware of what Dallas has done and what Cleveland might be doing with its roster. The Cavaliers have been rumored to acquire one of several power forwards: Indiana's Troy Murphy, Washington's Antawn Jamison or Phoenix All-Star Amare Stoudemire.

"We pay attention to it," Lakers Coach Phil Jackson said. "If Stoudemire gets traded, that's going to affect us."

As in, Cleveland will be tough to catch for the league's best regular-season record.

I don't see Boston's move as lateral either. They got better, but I don't think Nate Robinson gives them an edge on the Cavs or even the Magic.

Nate is a good player. But he wants to shoot it every time down, good luck making him a team player. Good trade though for Boston, but still doesn't make them better then the cavs or even the magic.
