You're supposed to root for the team that knocked your team out (unless they are a bitter rival) so you can say you lost to the champs. :)

Didn't the Steelers beat the Bengals, then Colts to lead onto the SB?

I still think the Jets play like the old Steelers (just a few years ago I guess) than anyone else

The Colts defeated the Ravens, who play a style of football that is similar to the Jets. The Colts defense controlled Ray Rice, so they will control the Jets' running game.

Manning will not make the mistakes Rivers made and Stover will not choke like Kaeding did.

The Colts win 17-7.

no dog in this fight, don't like either, but don't want a punk QB from USC winning a title either, so I guess I'll pull for Indy

Rice averaged 5.2 per carry.

I can't see the Colts stopping the Jones/Greene combo. Jets should get at least 150 on the ground. Baltimore only ran the ball 19 times all game. Jets will rush twice that many times.

Jets and Ravens do play a similar style but Sanchez is playing much better than Flacco at this point. If the Ravens had limited the turnovers they could have won the game. If the Jets limit their turnovers I see them winning. If they make the mistakes that Baltimore did, then yes they'll lose by 10+.

Jets have a better offensive line than the Ravens. And they have two good backs in Jones and Greene. Ravens have McGahee but overall Rice has to carry the load a lot more.

I think the Jets can have success running against the Colts but it won't come at the start of the game, they'll have to look to pass early.

When the Steelers beat the Colts in 2005, the Colts loaded the box at the start and Ben came out throwing. The Steelers got up 14-0 and then they started to run the ball a lot more.

I think Sanchez is at the same level as Ben was in his second year. He's capable of making the throws against the stacked line or off of the play-action. But they have to do it early this week. Can't wait until the third quarter to play offense against Indy.

Rice also had a 25 yard run that ended with a fumble. Without that run his average drops to like 3.8 I think.

Jones and Greene had a pretty good first half vs the Colts (I only count the first half) with I think 65 yards rushing on 15 attempts. That was without Freeney, or Brackett playing big roles and I dont think Mathis or Sessions played at all.

Im not saying the Jets wont put up a great fight or even win....but they only scored 15 points on the Colts defense (7 on the KO return and 7 on the Painter fumble) and with the starters in they only had 3....which was resting 4 of its best players for most of the game. I dont see a whole lot that says to me that the Jets are gonna somehow be able to score enough. The Colts in all probability where going to get around 25 points, and the Jets, from what I say werent going to touch 20.

Take out Shonn Greene's 2 TD runs this post season and he only averages 3.8 yards per carry as opposed to 6.0 yards. You can't just cherry pick which runs count.

Im not. Im just saying his only good run was a fumble. As well as the fact that his average drops so much after just 1 run because he only carried it 13 times. Why? He wasnt doing shit vs the Colts. Well that and they barely had the ball at all the whole game.

I think theyll need 21. I think the Colts get either 20 or 24.

That said, I dont see the Jets putting 20 on the Colts. But I guess thats why we have a bet going...lol

I think the Jets hold them to 17.

If I believed in Karma I'd put my life savings on the Jets winning. Colts coulda ended the Jets season already and here they are playing for a trip to the Super Bowl. :)

Colts played a good game defensively against Baltimore but I'm not ready to conclude that they can't be run on.

San Francisco and some other teams had success in games I watched.

Greene is tough to stop because he keeps driving forward for extra yards. As the game wears on if the Jets are still close enough score wise to stick to the run they could start driving forward and wearing em down. That happened to San Diego in the third quarter. Baltimore was down 17-3 to start the third.

It will be interesting to see the Jets offensive game plan.

Common thinking is they will be consersative and go with what they've done all season.

But it's nearly impossible to win a conference championship without your quarterback making plays. Even tougher with Peyton Manning as the QB on the other side.

I think they need to show confidence in Sanchez and come out throwing a little more. It could work with Keller and some of those guys. You get some points on the board early and then the middle of the game start to control it on the ground.

Im of the belief that if the Colts new that letting the Jets into the playoffs would mean that Pittsburgh wouldnt make it, they would get to play Baltimore and not NE and then NYJ and not SD they would have simply forfeit the game altogether :D:D

I think they would let them win 1000 times out of 1000 games.

Rex says he would be "shocked" if the Jets lose this weekend:
"I'm confident. There is no question about it," he said. "We're going into the game expecting to win. I'd be shocked if we don't. Absolutely would be."

Don't care who wins...in fact...I'll probably root for Peyton...but I love Rex Ryan's style.

Sports would be a lot more fun if more head coaches broke the mold like this.

I believe that the Jets players play harder...because of his brazen coaching style.

People will clamor..."well, that's bulletin board material". Well, I don't buy the billetin board material argument...never have and never will.

If the Colts need motivational material because the Jets's coach thinks they'll win, then the Colts have big issues.

With that said, Rex's dad was a douchebag.

I agree on Rex's style. The players have stated more than once that they would run through a brick wall for Rex. He is a very refreshing change from the tightlipped style of Mangini.

I also agree on the bulletin board material crap. It's stupid.
