Anyone who doesn't get this either isn't being honest or they don't understand economics.
Well of course the taxes will affect the middle class with his plans for a single payer system since you'll be paying for healthcare via your taxes. You'll also not be paying into private insurance anymore unless you so choose to. Either way the middle class will be paying a net less money unless they choose to purchase their own private insurance.

I am guessing Zwick's wife is extremely liberal because I don't remember him being this in the tank for the liberal elites before he was married. :)
I don't watch any tv news but yes I do mostly read Huffington Post.

My wifes family is EXTEMELY pro GOP and especially my MIL's craziness drives out the leftist in me. My wife supports Trump, which is idiotic, but her choice.

Sarah Palin has thrown her great insights into Trump's campaign. Now you have two people who can complain, blame, and propose nothing concrete. She has even been able to work her "going rogue" into the discussion. Tina Fey, we need you.

You failed public school math and never took a logics course, obviously. You could not tax 'the rich' enough to generate $19 trillion; you could not even steal their accumulated wealth to generate 1/4 of $19 trillion. You also must have failed history because no country has ever succeeded by stealing from the producers to give to the non-producers.

Maybe you will grow up someday and get in the real world.

A. I went to private schools.
B. Other than jmog, I doubt there's anyone on this website who's taken as many math courses as I have.
C. You're an idiot.... America's effective tax rate against billionaire's is significantly less than other developed nations.

1 - The private school liberal indoctrination is not serving you well.

2 - Then apply your math skills and a little logic to the socialist's tax increases to see its absolute failings.

3 - I am not an idiot; but I can only lay out the reality; I can't help your inability to understand. As I stated, you can steal all the billionaires' earnings and wealth and you won't scratch the surface of the debt pile the socialists would have us rack up.

You can't be serious and believe that this is the ONLY way the middle class will be paying more in taxes if Sanders gets what he wants.

Google search his tax hike proposals and while most seem like they only go after "the rich", many do not. And don't use HuffPo or MSNBC to get the information.

If you pretty much get your political news from HuffPo you have as much credibility as those that only get there's from Rush.

Almost half of those will affect the middle class directly, and one could argue that they all will affect the middle class indirectly.

Sorry, but I would prefer to keep more of my money than give more of it to a HIGHLY inefficient government.

So where should I read it and why are those places accurate and Huff isn't?

How about starting with a more neutral site. HuffPo is like going right to Rush's or Fox News for your information.

You are a smart man, I think you know that HuffPo puts a liberal spin on nearly everything just like Rush does with conservative.

How about Forbes, WSJ, read the chart I posted above (I think it was from the Wash Post), heck, even CNN is better (but not by much a ton).

Remember, if you raise the tax rate 10%, you will gain an additional 10% in increased tax revenues.

I'd agree both are more neutral than huff post, but both are undoubtedly right of center. Both also undoubtedly have their fair share of misinformation. You're obviously also smart enough to acknowledge that.

There you go again being intellectually dishonest. You know doggone well that you cannot tax "billionaires " enough to cover even a fraction of what he is proposing. The burden will fall on the middle class as it always does .

I listed more than just Forbes and WSJ, I also listed Wash Post and CNN which both have a liberal lean. You just so happened to ignore those and pick out the 2 that have a slight conservative lean? I can't imagine why?

You may have a more rounded view on things if you don't subject yourself to something so obviously biased as the HuffPo.

I liken that to QO who only posts crap from Drudge, Fox News, etc.

Forgive me but didn't the link describe raising the top marginal rate to 52% and then calculating that as additional revenue?

Do you honestly believe that with the taxes outlined that Bernie will be able to raise anywhere near $19.6T in tax revenue to pay for his programs?

Pretty much this. The reality is the $19.6T to pay for all these programs will have to come from somewhere other than the ultra wealthy eventually. The numbers simply don't add up.

The bigger issue is with congress he doesn't have a chance to do a fraction of what he wants to do.

Way to dodge the question...

Let's assume he can get what he wants passed...now answer the question under that assumption.

You can't honestly believe even MOST of the revenue will come from the "millionaires and billionaires". While they will see the largest tax hikes per person, the bulk of the money is in the middle class currently (due to a ton more people there, simple multiplication), which is where a big portion of the $19.6T would have to come from.

It is simple logical reasoning Zwick. Either you know it and don't want to admit it or you have been blinded by the HuffPo (I know, strawman before BS comes on here).

I ignored your post because you blatantly lied and misrepresented your chart as Washington Post when a 3 second google search shows Washington Examiner which, yes, is a conservative hack site.

CNN is the same as msnbc, fox, cbs.. except slightly worse because they're heavily in the tank for Hillary.
