A good chunk of America still loves a bully...always has. And a bully is kind of the opposite of a statesman. There is absolutely no substance behind Trump or his policies. Trump is winning because of his celebrity in a field of relative unknowns, aid by the backlash against the lack of success of mainstream republicans to effect resistance to the democrats.

Agreed. But why does Gary Johnson, or even Rand Paul for that matter, get no support if Trump is the guy people are backing to blow-up the Repub party or express their dissatisfaction with the establishment?

But remember Ross Perot. Gary Johnson could be a more rational choice/option to tap into the dissatisfaction Trump has IF he had some serious financial backing. The reason money matters is because many voters decide based on which ad they like best that airs during their favorite tv show.

Just saying if people knew who Gary Johnson was and he had enough support to get into the debates, then he could have an impact. Trump uses his celebrity and abrasiveness to get air time, and Ross Perot bought it. Gary Johnson needs air time.

I voted for him last election, probably will this time. He was a successful Republican governor and businessman but had to bail the party because of the social conservative /Neoconservatives run the party and you can see how that is going based off the clowns we have running for the nomination.

If the Libertarian party could get as much opportunity as the Dems and Republicans, I think they would win an election easily.

I completely agree with you. I don't know anyone outside of Spock considering voting for him. If it's him vs Hillary in November, I'll sit that one out.

My girlfriend & I are eating lunch at a restaurant in Boardman and the hostess sits us next to a family of 4 or 5 (didn't look at them so not sure how many).

They are talking loud enough so everyone around them can hear. The topic changes from grade school basketball to politics.

The male figure (assuming the dad) starts talking about how he is a "teacher" at Mineral Ridge High School. He then proceeds to talk about the "idiot freshmen and seniors who are Trump supporters." Then... he proceeds to say "but we do have a few smart ones who support Sanders."

Personally, whether Marxist Bernie, Benghazi Killer Hillary or Macho Man Trump get elected, I think we're doomed, but I really don't think this "educator" should be brainwashing our future generation with this crap.

I would've loved it had one of the parents of these "idiot freshmen and seniors" been sitting within earshot of this shill.

I've had an epiphany....I have had a hard time trying to figure out why Trump is doing so well...this establishment/antiestablishment thing.
And then I watch the Democrat's debate and I realize why. SMH. ...watching two people tripping over each other to spout more guilty mea culpas of " privilege ". Wanting the Michigan governor to resign....not the people running the city of Flint who were directly responsible.

The planet we live on tries to blame everything on someone other than themselves. The question asked about Detroit schools falling apart is a prime example. The woman was looking to the federal government for more money so that she doesn't have to spend her own dollars to fix the schools.

He said this with a straight face while espousing policies that would keep a psychiatrist in business for a century.....laying guilt, blame on thickly....enabling people not taking responsibility and blaming external objects for their lack of success and plight.
Democrats need to look at themselves in the mirror before they talk about mental health.

I've seen you blame Obama for every spurious cultural problems e.g. "Just sayin culture of blame, victimhood comes from the top!" and yet Gov. Snyder - uncoincidentally a Republican - bears no responsibility for having appointed the Emergency Manager who came up with the idea of using the corrosive water and for ignoring pleas from the people of Flint. Here as an email from the Governor's Chief of Staff from July of 2015 (Probably more interesting than all of Hillary's "Classified" emails if they were anything like what what was considered sensitive back in my Navy.Mil email days):

“I’m frustrated by the water issue in Flint. I really don’t think people are getting the benefit of the doubt. Now they are concerned and rightfully so about the lead level studies they are receiving. These folks are scared and worried about the health impacts and they are basically getting blown off by us (as a state we’re just not sympathizing with their plight).”

I don't care if he resigns as the City Council is liable as the Governor's emergency team but I do get a laugh seeing the different standards you hold Republicans to.

I never said he had no responsibility, but Sanders and Hillary acted as if he was the ONLY one responsible, when in fact there are several levels of direct culpability BEFORE you get to him.

- permited millions and millions of illegal aliens and criminals to pour into the country

- ruined foreign policy and ripped apart our military
