My comment of just giving him the first seed was based on there not beingn a huge difference between the 2 kids based on criteria because they would be on opposite sides at that point.

We can put all the time into it that you want and it won't make it any more valuable. I don't think making seeding more valuable is any significant benefit. In fact, I think devaluing it would be wise for the kids' "pshychy" goinng into the tournament.

Kid A - 16 wins, 12 losses

Kid B - 10 wins, 11 losses

Kid A is seedable, kid B is not.

Through a series of events, three of Kid A's losses are to Kid B.

How now, Mr. Brown Cow?

Yep. It can and does happen. I've seen that exact scenario. Will kid A make the top four and get out? Wrestle, survive and move on.
