Just something to talk about...how many years have you been involved in the sport? Competitor, coach, ref, parent, etc?

I've been involved for 22 years, 10 years as a competitor, 3 as an official, 8 as a coach, and 1 helping out my former head coach with a youth program.

Started in 4th grade. Wrestled until I graduated. Left for the Army and more-or-less left the sport. I had a few occasion of being around it while serving in Colorado. In 2002, I became a JH coach and pretty much haven't looked back.

I wrestled at Ma Kitchens Combat Boot Wrestling Club for years. Almost kicked Hulk Hogan's rear end at the Kansas City Trailways Bus Terminal back in 92. Part of the cross country tour.

Started as junior high coach 1969, then head coach from 1970 until 1982, officiated until 2003 then assistant coach until now. Lets see that makes this my 45th year.
