Just a quick reminder that this Saturday is Team Ohio's central qualifier for the AAU Junior Olympic Games at Delaware Hayes HS. Great competition. Champions at this qualifier get a guaranteed spot on Team Ohio and $100 off the cost of the trip. Those interested in being a part of Team Ohio, but unable to compete in the qualifier on Saturday, must apply for the team through a petition. I advocate the AAU JOs because...
...guys get a guaranteed 15+ matches versus top-notch national competition
...great mini camp leading to the games with world class clinicians (Bergman and Humphrey were there last year)
...great partners for intense training during the mini camp
...because we take 4-5 teams, there is an opportunity for many
...one weigh in for a week of competition
...huge confidence builder that pushes the good to the great status
...it's FUN!

This year the JO Games are in Des Moines, IA at the end of July. Competitors will need an AAU membership ($16 online). This is a freestyle event.

Last year's Team Ohio squad boasted over 25 OHSAA state qualifiers and more than 10 placers....a good group with which to train...

I know we specifically need upper weights (195,220,HWY). However, there are some other open spots. We are taking 4 teams.
