Chuck Stewart is at Indy now, and Matt Glorioso is at EA. I will email you their emails. What is your email address?

Anyone interested I will be fighting at Bellefountaine High School for IT Fight Series this Saturday night. Fight start at 730PM. I think this is for their Super Heavy Weight title. Will be facing Ian Miller, 23 year old from Marysville high School. I will be turning 35 in March....... :RpS_blink:

West has wrestled Whetstone, Mifflin, Centennial, Eastmoor. We have been in tournaments with Mifflin, Whetstone, Centennial, and South. I have watched South, Northland, East, Beechcroft. We have practiced with Indy, Whetstone, and Marion Franklin. I have not seen Brookhaven, Briggs, or Linden.

We are wrestling Walnut Ridge and South on Feb 5th. Coach Chuck, My AD did not get any info about wrestling you guys and Linden/South so she booked us for Feb 5th.

All in all, most weight classes are wide open. 106, 113, 126, 132, 160, 170, and 182 should be won by kids we have all heard of. (and possibly 195 depending on what is going on with Wellborn from MF) All other weight classes are wide open. Look for some sleepers. Centennial has a kid at 220 that should make the jump to the WWE in a few years.

I haven't heard too much about grades effecting line ups? I know South lost their 182 which was a kid that could have done well, but that is it. Anyone have info on others? We came out mostly unscathed. Our greatest battle now is making scratch weight at 195 and 220. STAY AWAY FROM THE DONUTS AND HOT CHEETOS!

I too appreciate the Herminator's write up, but also disagree. The city champs will come down between Mifflin, Whetstone, Walnut Ridge, with possible sleepers Marion Franklin, Centennial, Brookhaven, and don't forget about those Cowboys. If I have any Nicola magic dust left over from last season, we could be seeing some kids place in the finals that nobody has ever heard of, but who we have full confidence in. COWBOY UP! : thumbup:

Most think that staying silent is a strategy....I don't understand that approach!....I, like the kids say, keep it 100....why I'm "it is what it is"!!

We lost 2 at 113 and 182/195 and it's going to hurt! I believe half the battle to winning the city is having a FULL lineup. Then u need 2-3 studs. The rest need to be tough and fight for every point. You need good coaching. Finally, a little luck is always beneficial.

1 of our losses was a senior DQ at 182! How the **** u can be that ignorant and selfish baffles me and infuriates me! :RpS_angry: He easily makes the final at 182 or 195 (wouldn't beat Monroe, but could've won 195)! The 113 was young and inexperienced, but would've scored for us. I thought we easily walked to the title, NO disrespect to anyone else, jmo with what I had seen leading up to the city duals.

While West's rallying call is "Cowboy Up", Mifflin......we need to "WAKE UP"!!! :RpS_angry:

I didn’t have any surprises with grades I lost 1 kid but he’s been out since mid-December with a concussion and the kid has yet to bring in his doctors note clearing him. I didn’t agree with the initial call but I’m no medical professional so I have to live with the call from the official. I did pick up 2 and I was hoping to get a third kid but he didn’t make it. what I don’t understand is that just about all of my kids have an 3.5 or higher GPA and the 1 kid that I didn’t get never asked any of them for help. I have no real seniors so I have to see what my young kids are going to do over the next few weeks. Who’s going to step up and “meet the challenge”.

It looks like I’m going to be making some changes to my predictions. It would be nice however if I had some real results to use so we can get some good rankings out there.

Here we go Mr. Abdi form west finished 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] at TCI today. Now he knows what he need to work on and get better at after wrestling some high caliber kids today. His first loss of the day was to CJ Campbell of HB by TF 17-2 and his second lost was to Noah Jay WHY MD 14-1 and he finished in 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] place. I just want to recognize a city kid for what he did today. Good work today Mr. Abdi and keep working toward your goal for this season.

Can I please get some result from today and just maybe some names and weights of some kids so you, me we can put together some rankings.

Mifflin only had 8 kids but still pulled off a win I think the score was like 42 Mifflin - cent. 30 or 36

It seems this year will be another exciting team race, as the last two years have been. My picks:

1. Mifflin (With a full lineup, the Tate Brothers and Frazier will put up some big points)
2. West (If they have a full lineup, coupled with Abdi and Em in finals they should do well)
3. Brookhaven (If they have Bonner, Powell, and Pelletier all in lineup)
4. Whetstone (Could be way higher and even win it, but they had some missing weights last i heard)
5. Marion Franklin (Huge wildcard team, will Wellbourne wrestle?)

Wellborn will not wrestle at the City tournament this year. Joe Stepp will be in and has posted a pretty decent record.

At Mt. Gilead last Saturday (treacherous trip in the morning!). Mifflin beat Unioto, but a lot of FF. Mifflin beat Centennial, but also a # of FF. Bexley beat Mifflin, again with a lot of FF. Mifflin had 4 guys MIA (for whatever reason) and that combined with missing 2 weight classes equals 3rd place instead of 1st!

I'll say it again.....Mifflin, WAKE UP!!

It really all could come down to who goes what weights. If Tate and North end up going at it, that would be huge for the winners team. Will Bonner be at 106, an Abdi Bonner match is big for team race. Frazier vs. North? Can anybody challenge little tate this year?

There are a few kids that have been overlooked that will score some big points. Keep in mind that getting to the semis or the finals scores big team points on the front end. I think it’s going to come down to the team that has their kid in position to pick up points in some of the off weight classes. we know who the heavy favorites are in some weights and in others its wide open.
Here’s a quick overview of what most people are thinking and I don’t have them listed in order of finish:
106: Abdi
113: Ali, Bonner, Shafeek, Martin
120: Tate, Emerson, Jackson ?
126: Thomas, Tate
132: Em Silverthorn
138: wide open from what I have seen
145: Mosley, Powell, Boakua
152: Chatman, Powell
160: Tate, Fraizer, North, Bobo
170: Tate, Fraizer, North, Bobo
182: Monroe
195:
220:
285:

That just me observation and here where I think the title will be won. The finalist on the other side at 106. Whoever makes the finals in the following weight classes will score big for their team 138, 145, 182 on the other side 195, 220 and 285 finalist will all score big for their teams and one or more of these kids could or should I say will be the deciding factor in the team title and race.

I am wrapping up study tables and I though that I would make my official predictions:

106 - Chuck Stewart (If he can make scratch)
113 - Herminator
120 - Matt "The Glorious One" Glorioso
126 - Toby Hawk comes out of retirement and snatch singles his way to the finals
132 - Too close to call - Scott Nicola vs. Brian Nicola - loser shaves off all body hair and labeled as the "little hairless brother"
138 - Mills, Parkham, or Alexander (whoops year late)
145 - Herminator (he's that darn good)
152 - Harry Potter
160 - Tom "It's not unusual to be loved by anyone, It's not unusual to have fun with anyone" Jones
170 - Hulk Hogan
182 - Derek Oney vs. Tino, whoever can score first with the SWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWIIIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEE!
195 - Floyd Cisco, because he has gained that much weight in two years.
220 - Dan Ritchie, walks on the mat in the finals, takes his shirt off, flexes, and stares at his opponent till they burst in flames.
285 - Your my boy blue!
285 plus - Me, because I gotta lose some more weight.

you heard it here first folks!
