Ultimately you have to first look at past post season success to get an idea of the truly elite guys in the city. That being said, Jhulyis Monroe and Hannible Tate are easily the two guys with the best resumes coming into the season. Next would have to be guys like Abdi, Bonner, Ali, Wellborn, and anyone else with experience at the district tournament. After these guys are guys who we knew were good but seem to have stepped it up this year and have results against established competition, like Bobo. Lucky for everyone this stuff gets decided on the mat not the message boards. Personally a match I am looking forward to is a rematch of last year's 106 final between Bonner and Ali. Both guys won matches at districts last year and seem poised to make a run at the Schott at 113. Bonner is super explosive on his feet and by all accounts is bigger and badder this year. I think the time off may actually help Bashir return to form. He is a super talented wrestler who trained his butt off for a 18 months straight and I believe that and the weight cut affected his performance late last year. I like the contrast of styles and think both guys will be up for the match given the history.
