I have Jamaal Charles on that team. Not a bad start. Already has 10.9 points on the first play of the game.

Gore (8.6) and Gostkowski (8) are my only two single digit scorers on that team. I am quite happy with my decision to pick up the 49ers D (18) this week.

WTF why is the 49ers def on waviers in the first place? Also damn Charles just blowing up.

My league only pays the championship of the playoffs, but pays the top 3 in final points.

I am out of playoffs, but Jamaal Charles and the Chiefs D just single handedly put me up to 3rd in points pushing for 1st/2nd with 1 more week to go.

I outscored everyone this week and still have Megatron going tomorrow night.

With our league scoring rules, "average" team score in a given week is 140 points. Jamaal Charles, all by himself, scored 122 points this week.

What is the better measure of the best team in a fantasy football league? Winning the last 2 or 3 games of the season or scoring the most total points in the league?

Our league rewards with money, the best teams, not who gets hot late in the season.

Also, our league does $5 'bets' each week, so every win is worth $5 and every loss costs $5.

Finally, we do a "loser bowl" in week 17. You start a team you think will suck, everyone puts $5 in, and the team that scores the least amount of points in week 17 wins the last 'pot' of $50.

So no, we do things much more interesting and fun than any fantasy football league I have ever been around. This league has been in existence since the early 1990s, back when pencil and paper was used to calculate scores each week. I have been in it for nearly 10 years.

Why doesn't the NFL just make the team w/ the best record the NFL champs? I mean, they had the best record over 16 games..

While I agree that the tournament is needed to crown the "champ" I do like the way his league pays out.
