Where are you hearing this? It hasn't even been 24 hours since shurmur was fired. I want no part of this Kromer guy. He was the 3rd string interim coach, and now he deserves a HC position? Fuck that.

He would have to run a completely different offense to win with the Browns. Possibly T-Rich fits in his offense, but that's it. Kelly would be better served to go for the Eagles job.

Haslam envisions himself as a Jerry Jones type and he's going for big fish before he settles on a smaller catch like Kromer which he can get anytime he wants. Kelly, Saban and probably O'Brien will have to turn it down before Kromer gets an offer.

Well the good thing is that there are plenty of "his guys" at QB out there that are available cheap or free.

I grew up about 15 minutes from his family. This is the word. I'm not saying it is 100% but his family is excited about him moving back to the area.

Hopefully this is how Aaron Kromer would return home, only as OC to Gruden.

Bears just fired Lovie. Get that man an interview. It will cover the one African American interview that is required.

Count me in as wanting Gruden.

I look at what Mike Shanahan is doing in Washington, and what John Fox and Jeff Fisher have done to turn around their teams and can't help but feel that bringing in a known/proven commodity is the way to go.

Haslam and Banner don't have the luxury of dealing with the growing pains of a young coach, because there is zero patience for that in this city right now.

Gruden is perfect because he is traditionally a West Coast Guy so it wouldn't be a huge change, but his west coast is light years ahead of what Shurmur was doing. We wouldn't be riddleed with 3 yard passes under Gruden.

It would bring in a credible coach you can actually win with while at the same time maintaing a level of continuity as far as the system. To me that is the best of all worlds.

Bears completely fell apart this year and they only made the playoffs one time the past 6 seasons, finishing 3rd or worse in the division 4 times. That isn't good enough.

I think he's savvy enough to create something that would take defenses a while to adjust to....all the while he keeps adjusting what he does.

Except in the case of the Seahawks with Carroll and the Colts with Pagano/Arians. And what about Chan Gailey, known commodity? Yeah, a known commodity is DEFINITELY the way the go...

Only 2 teams drafted in front of us. Both made the playoffs after drafting true franchise QBs who had transcendental rookie seasons.

Congrats on making a completely irrelevant point?

I think Lovie can lead you guys to about where the Bengals are with Lewis. He is a big upgrade but not sure he can take you where you want to go.
