As of now, I have sent 8 invites out (it is currently an 8 team league). 1 guy told me he didn't think he was going to play. But if you guys know of anybody else, who might be interested, I'm all ears. I have no problem bumping the league membership up to 10

I think I accidentally made the draft this coming Sunday. I forgot that I said that I would do it a week and a half from now. I can edit the draft date. PM me your email address

Looks like everybody has joined... except for my friends. I'll try and light a fire under them this weekend. I'm still open for adding 2 players and expanding the league to 10

Ok, looks like we'll have one spot available. Wasn't able to twist one of my friends' arms into playing. (The other open spot is taken, the guy is just away for the weekend).

Is there anybody else who wants to play? Do you guys know of any of your friends who might be interested in playing?

I can ask the guys in my other league. But im usually the only one who wants to be in more than 1 league.

League is now full. Everybody has signed up.

If anybody else wants to play, let me know. I'd be open to adding 2 more teams.

Of course the indoor soccer game I had that was snowed out has been moved to Sunday at 8:50 lol. If you can move it back an hour Id love it, but I can just pre-rank my players I guess and miss the first rounds. I should be able to join the draft by 10:15.

By the way, have you guys done any 8 team league mocks? Man the type of team you can build is crazy haha

I havent done any mocks. But I projected what rounds you get players and just laughed. It will be different for sure. Lowest Ive done the last 5 or 6 years is 12. Usually a 12 or 14 team league for me. Im gonna feel great after the draft till I look at other teams lol

It should be a lot of fun. Me and one of the other owners did one last night and it is awesome. I've always wanted to do an 8 team league. My outfield was stacked last night and with the amount of pitching depth this year, you can build quite the staff.

We got into an argument with some guy about Halladay though. Halladay is probably the best real-life pitcher in the game. But I think he gets the fantasy hype because of name recognition/Cy Young. If you think about it, he only gives you ERA. Strikeouts and WHIP-wise, he isn't really a better pitcher than most of the guys you can get in the 3rd-4th round.

So whats the roster going to look like; number of starters, bench, how often we set our lineup. The league I usually play in only picks pitching staffs so I was wondering the difference between starting and releif pitchers.

Got my pre-draft rankings all set. Hopefully I only miss a few rounds. You guys will probably laugh at some of the "auto" picks I get, but thats the luck (or lack there of) in having to set your players beforehand as well as picking what position you want in a given round.

I ranked a few guys ridiculously high cause I have them in my keeper league and wanted to make sure I got them (only 3 or 4 guys). The other league is a 12 team league, so the guys I reach for would probably still be available later, oh well.

8 team drafts go pretty quickly. I think most 10 team drafts take about an hour and 15 mins. So I'm guessing this one will probably take an hour. It really just depends on how quickly people make their picks.

You havent drafted with my friends before lol.

Typically for our 12 team draft (with 1:30 for picks in first 5 rds and 1 minute for picks after that) are over 3 hrs. We had one go from 9pm till close to 1am.

That's pretty impressive haha. Did you guys do those marathon drafts offline?

yes sir. It was funny cause a lot of time we would have 12 people dispersed throughout campus or at only 2 locations. Made for good online draft chat.

The best was when 2 guys were both drafting at the library and had their backs to each other. They didnt figure it out until the both sent "Holy SHIT, hottest girl just walked by" within seconds of each other.
