Fantasy Baseball?

Me and a few of my friends do a fantasy league every year, but generally by the 2nd week of the season we are the only people who check our teams and make roster moves. Thought I'd throw out an offer on here to see if anybody else is interested in playing.

The draft will be live, it will be through ESPN, and will probably be a 10 team league. Not sure if we'll do head to head or rotisserie. We'll figure that out when the time comes

Jordo, while this sounds interesting, my big money fantasy baseball league becomes a full time job (well, sort of) starting in April. We assign contracts to players, tag players as "franchise players," etc, becomes tough to play in multiple leagues. But keep me posted if you are desperate for a final owner.

Understandable. Gotcha. That would be awesome to do. I wish I had more friends who got into baseball. Most people here only play fantasy football.

We've been joining public leagues and generally the people we get in leagues with, quit checking their team about a week in. It is so frustrating

when would be a good time to draft for you? We usually always do it at around 8 or 9 at night.

Ok noted. I will try and fill you in as we get closer to drafting. We're trying to avoid drafting early this year, because last year we drafted at this time and a couple guys got burned by spring training injuries

I guess it could be a possibility? Have you ever done ESPN? I've done both and I think that ESPN is much better than Yahoo. I even started with Yahoo; I haven't used Yahoo in a couple of years. Why do you prefer it to ESPN? I'm just curious.

It's more of a convenience than anything. I'm in 3 other yahoo leagues so checking my teams in one place is easier etc.

Second is I work a lot during nights and am on my mobile device(s) and yahoo works much better with my iPad and phone. It won't necessarily keep me out, but if you wouldn't mind yahoo it would just be easier for me.

The tribe has spoken. I think we are going to do an ESPN league. If you want in, let me know. Might try and do it tonight. Not sure yet. If we do, it will probably start at like 9?

I will definaly be in... late on a week night would work for me or probably anytime on a sunday as long as there is some heads up. I use mlb.com for my league but anywhere will do.

I'll have to pass, busy tonight. What is the rush? Spring games have not even started yet and there is 5 weeks unitl opening day.

I decided I can to ESPN as well. Got an App that connects to both Yahoo and ESPN. However, tonight is no good. Indiana versus Purdue!!! Pretty much any other night this week works I think, and but typically Sundays are best. I cant do tonight though, thats for sure.

Also, Roto or Head-to-Head. I drastically prefer H2H as I think it involves a ton more strategy and day to day preparation.

There is no rush I guess. Just getting the itch to draft our teams. If you guys all want to play, we would be willing to delay the draft. We're all for getting serious players. Our last two leagues have been duds.

What time works best for you guys? For me, I know that any time between 8 and 9 is ideal.

My schedule is set weekly, so for next weeks availablity I will be able to let you know tomorrow. After 9 is usually good, and Sunday nights are always good. Im for sure serious about playing, right now Im only in 2 other leagues and for baseball I like to be in about 4.

Did you decide on Roto or H2H. Again, I prefer H2H.

I will go ahead and tentatively schedule our draft for Thursday. Anybody have issues with that? We could start the draft at 8:30 and it will probably end around 10:30 or so. That will allow people who have to work the opportunity to still get a good night's rest and it also doesn't cramp anybody's style who has Thirsty Thursday plans.

Thursday work for everybody?

Thursday as in tomorrow or next thursday? I got evening classes but if I rush home i should be able to make it. The best days for me would be a Tuesday or Sunday but as long its around 9 I should be able to make it.

Yeah, I don't think we're going to do it on a Thursday now. My one friend says that's one day he cant do.

So once again, I am open to date recommendations/time.

Next Sunday (as in a week and a half seems like a good time to do it?)

Id go with next Sunday. It seems most people have Sunday off, and that gives anyone with conflict enough time to pre-rank their players etc.
