I don't believe there is anyone good at 135. Well at least no state quality wrestlers.

Dayton Christians 112 will walk through the tournament. McGuire from Briggs should be second, followed by either suhr from st.charles or maybe johnson from west...just imo...

Corns and Pinkstock will wrestle in the 1st place matches. I see Amanda winning this tournament easily.
I'm looking forward to seeing Corns and Alexander(CB) go at it.
Dont count out Horn (135), Chenetski(189) and Turner all from Amanda.

Depends on if they were allowed to practice....

"When there are consecutive days of team competition, there shall be a 1-pound additional allowance granted each day for all wrestlers up to a maximum of two pounds. In order to be granted this 1-pound additional allowance, a minimum of 48 hours advance notice is required for the opponent(s). The acceptable person(s) to receive that notice shall be the head coach, principal or athletic director. Competitions that are postponed for one calendar day or more, for reasons beyond the control of the participating school(s), or practices that cannot be held in these situations due to school policy shall be treated the same as competitions when there are consecutive days of competition in terms of the 1-pound allowance, with the exception of the required 48-hour notice. There is no situation when weight allowance will exceed 2 pounds."

I read this as consecutive days. Meaning no practice on Friday or no school. St. Charles has been out for two days and we will check to see the ruling.

I’m not sure if there’s going to be any weight allowance given for the tournament and if there is it will only be 1 pound. I’m quite sure that the tournament director is checking on it to see if they can give a weight allowance due to weather. It really hard to tell I’ve seen times when OHSAA said no to local tournament giving weight allowance (just like weigh outs but that’s a different story) and that same year gave scratch +5at the sectionals because some teams in the northeast where closed during the week. Since there have been 2 consecutive days of no school and practice for the majority of the schools then I think there should be a pound given. Does anyone have any insight on this subject?

I agree with lion. If you can't practice the day before the tournament you will receive an extra pound. They no practice/competition days must be consecutive to your tournament.

If there is no weight allowance given, then the OHSAA needs to look at the rules..there are times when wrestlers lose 4 pounds in one practice and with no practice in two days, especially with people not having power to go anywhere, there needs to be some allowance.

This will be interesting to see what the ruling will be with a local tournament. The rule is very clear about giving a weight allowance when it’s one or two days before a tournament. This will affect all of the tournaments in Central OH this weekend so we’ll have to wait and see. On a sidebar this might be a topic that the rules community may need to address and change some of the wording to this rule to make it clear.
