Yes. Lyles 2:30est in 200m, McLaughlin 3:25est in 400m hurdles (likely WR coming), plus Holloway in the 110m hurdles (and might set a WR) at 3:45est.

Lyles falling short stinks. He is good for the sport. Syd not the WR. Holloway ran away with it but no WR.

Lyles with covid. I have so many questions on how he was allowed to race, and how he finished with a bronze with it.

The big events didn’t live up

Lyles didn’t look good in the semis…that lived up. Not feeling the best but dude that won went 19.40, not taking away from him

Yeah, makes his bronze impressive knowing he was down a gear.

Team USA basketball better wake up.

Was fun watching the big time future upper echelon HOFers play so hard and get it done

If Lyles had Covid and raced…I’m fine with that. Had trouble afterwards and eventually got up to interview with his mask on….that’s fair

But as I’m rewatching on NBC right now….right before the race he’s in the room ready to be introduced with a dozen workers, why no mask then?

Embiid is so bad for this team. AD needs all those minutes.

Kerr has been meh. Tatum not playing doesn’t bother me at all. Maybe he could take Bookers spot, but Book spaces/shoots better which fits the roster. But so much other crap has been very puzzling. Durant not starting or getting more minutes. AD not starting. Halliburton getting no shot with 2nd unit despite being best passer in team. In fact, I think Tatum being benched is one of the few things he’s gotten correct.

The annoying thing is the media being relentless every time one of these guys is a DNP, like with Tatum and Hali today, or Embiid last week.

They don’t need 12 guys on this team. There’s not enough minutes. And when they try to fill the end of the bench with role players who won’t expect much like White, then Jaylen Brown starts bitching.

Re: Covid.

Covid isn’t a big a deal anymore. Very few get considerably sick from it. It’s different now than it was four years ago.

My perhaps unpopular opinion is it’s convenient finding out he had Covid after the fact. You never would have guessed it when he’s introduced and he’s running and jumping around, which I know is his thing he does.

Here comes Tatum’s mom to help the situation.

I’m with you. I will say he didn’t look good waiting to come out for those 5-10 minutes. He was trying to get himself energized and it looked like he was nervous AF or didn’t feel good.

Watching it live when he got 3rd….I kept telling him to get up, you are fine, you lost….go get your flag and do what every other medal winner does.

I know one thing…if anyone ever beats his ass physically it’s going to be Kung Fu Kenny. He gets 2nd and barely a mention. Dude always rises up in big races.

Oh my God, that Men's 4x100 was pathetic in the handoff.

Might rank as an all-time bad handoff with the combination of initially missing, running into the guy and having it apparently wind up happening out of the zone.

And the sad thing is they only finished like .4 or .5 out of gold. Good handoffs and they probably win going away.

Would've run away with it, if clean.

Would’ve won if Kenny didn’t take off when the blue shorts of France in lane 6 came into his sight. I hate that set up to see when to go. I fully believe after replay that he took off for the wrong runner in the next lane in similar uniform

You don’t change the order of 3 runners

USA after a quarter century of fuck ups might want to take the 6-8 potentials and practice with them an hour a week the year of.

Or just keep getting embarrassed

Just saw the 4x1 handoff. That was brutal. They should be able to do these in their sleep. Bednarek left like an hour too soon.

Man I love the olympics.

Grant Fisher killed the 5,000…Mr Norway seems unbeatable at that race.

High jump went to 3 extra jumps with both guys setting personal best jumps 2x…silver for USA

4x4 mens….WOW, I won’t spoil

Women’s 4x400….USA added Sydney of course but also Gabby Thomas. Femke Bol brought it again, no spoiler

Times in that game where no LeBron and team was lost it seemed. LeBron, Durant, Steph and AD were huge and then ridiculous unforced turnovers and France us down 3 with under 4:00 and place is going nuts…LeBron casually goes behind his back and Steph jukes and drills a 3…..then he caught fire and game was over.

It’s been said but in 4 years….no Steph, no Durant and LeBron will be 43. Not sure we’ll be the favorites, seems unlikely

I do wonder the conversation between McEwen and Kerr

I mean a shared gold medal means you go home and are a gold medal champion, no one can ever take it from you. That shared gold is always always better than a silver 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m guessing Kerr said he wasn’t sharing, just a guess
