The first three picks look like very high value picks where the LB from LSU looks like he could've been a reach. PFF has Phillips ranked at 184.

I’d say it’s a need. Njoku sucks and they’ll run 12 personnel a lot, so now they can rotate 3. He can actually block and catch, too. Lot of people projected him as a day 2 pick. Can also line up at the slot if needed. Njoku might only be here through this year, has a 5th year option that might not get picked up.
There are other needs, obviously, but I don’t mind the pick.

They have a pro bowl TE, a former first rounder coming off an injury, and a good blocking TE in Pharoah Brown. How many would you like? lol
It's a great value pick...but I would have liked them to look at other positions of needs.
Njoku is awful. Stefanski is gonna have 2-TE sets all the time. Hooper and this guy will be playing a lot. I would put Njoku even being on the roster at the start of the season at 40-60.
Njoku's 5th year option is due 5/3 I'm pretty sure. Will be surprised if they extend it.
NFL.com's comparison of Harrison Bryant is George Kittle. I'd be thrilled if he ended up half as good.
And TE was a "need" and was expected. They have Hooper, Njoku, Brown, Carlson and now Bryant. Bears have 10 TE's on their roster but really only have 1 or 2.

I think they go KJ Hill, if he’s there. Otherwise BPA in defense.
And the C pick is nice. Insurance at 2 positions, and apparently will push both C/RG for starting.

Ranked 80th best player by PFF. #1 in ZBS. Great developmental pick to eventually replace Tretter and maybe compete immediately at RG.
I agree with those on WR. I don't think it's a priority for the FO due to Stefanski mostly running 2 receiver sets but I'm not super confident Juice and OBJ will be 100% by the start of the season.
And there's the WR...DPJ
I have to say I'm pretty pleased with what I've seen from this front office in FA and in this draft. Still think they need a vet LB. Would like to see them kick the tires on Nigel Bradham.
Would have preferred KJ Hill, but DPJ is nice too.
Im not being a homer on KJ Hill, I really think he’s going to be a late round steal.
