Finally sat down and watched Mary Poppins Returns last night.
That was a GREAT movie.
First, I knew Lin-Manuel Miranda had chops, but it was really nice to see him flex it like that.
Also, Colin Firth plays a good sleazeball.
It was Ben Whishaw that really drew me in, though. He was great. I really felt his turmoil.
Finally, I can't believe Dick van Dyke actually did all his own jumping up on the desk and dancing. Dude's 93 years old. I swore there had been a stunt double, but I looked it up right then and there. Nope. He did his entire part in like three takes. What a consummate professional.

Nothing looks good on the horizon until Star Wars hits in December.

I could see that comment if Freddie Mercury was 100% straight and they made him out to be bi/gay in the movie to appease the SJW crowd. But it was a biopic about the group and Freddie Mercury WAS bisexual. Did you want them to lie?

Seriously.
And if the next defense is that it was just "too flamboyant," well ...
... it was Freddie Mercury ... dude was very flamboyant and he liked the peen. Live with it.

No, he’s genuinely a terrible person. I’d call it a “good riddance” event.

Going tomorrow night at 11 pm. Know I won’t get home until like 2 am, but whatever.
Without spoilers, heard a rumor no end credit scenes? True? False? Just want to know if I need to stay.
GOAT
Endgame: 9/10 (left at credits, so can’t confirm yes or no. But left because I heard the same thing)
Crazy Rich Asians: 7/10. As far as RomComs go it was entertaining.

Just watched "A Quiet Place." Nail and Falls and ending sucked.

I would agree with that [no - nothing in the credits].
And I don't generally care much for superhero flicks. But this is an otherwise very good movie. It actually manages to elevate the first one even more, which is something exceptionally rare for a sequel. The two films together truly are a masterpiece.
A minor quibble with the ending sequence that probably didn't register for anyone else. And I could start a whole other thread on Captain Marvel. The first film was excellent - I thought this one was much better.

Saw Avengers:Endgame last night. If you are even remotely a fan of super hero movies you will love this one.
If you are a huge MCU nerd this will be the movie highlight of your life.
They did that good a job of tying in all 22 movies and storylines into a true “finale”.
It was epic in scope and needed to be 3+ hours.
The final battle, without giving up any spoilers, holy freaking crap...
9.7/10. Only a couple movies ever I put higher than this one in my favorites.
May start a spoiler thread...

The Sons of Katie Elder. Solid.

Endgame, 7/10 - Loved a lot of it, have serious problems about 1 character's end that makes no sense to me. Up to that point, 10/10

Bring it to the spoiler thread. I think I know who you are talking about but want to make sure.
