i watched avatar last night. it was great visually but i didn't like the story that much, reminded me of like a disney movie plot.

I always got the impression they were trying to do some sort of live-action Fern Gully with that.

Hereditary - 5/10. Meh. Wasn't bad until the last 20 minutes or so. Then it sucked.

Saw this yesterday. Agreed it was really good. I’ve found that I enjoy the spinoffs almost more, cause they aren’t beholden to tie any sort of plot together (rogue one ending aside...which was done brilliantly).

I’d go 7.5-8/10

Lol that ending would have been way better. I was waffling between 4 and 5. 

Avatar was pretty cool to watch in 3D. One of the only movies I've ever watched In 3D that was worth the extra cash. 

Solo - 7/10 

Doctor Strange

Not the first time I've seen it, but it had been since it was in theaters.

8/10  Good movie.

Ocean's 8

5/10 Not bad...certainly better than the all-girl Ghostbusters by a long shot, but still not quite as good as when the men did it. 

Incredibles 2 - really good. 8.5/10. Even better that my 4 year old daughter sat through it also. 

Ocean's 8-6/10 had some funny parts but not as good as any of the originals.

Incredibles 2-7/10 funny, not as good as the first, Jack Jack steals the show.

Solo-7/10 far better than The Last Jedi, not as good as Rogue One, but still a very good movie. There are some definite tie ins to the main saga, some very subtle that you have to be a big fan to catch, others not so subtle (hologram cameo at the end).

There could be/should be a whole separate thread with spoilers to discuss the hologram cameo at the end of the movie given the time frame of this movie being before Rogue One but AFTER Ep 3 Revenge of the Sith...

If you have seen the Solo movie, and the fact that the movie is after Revenge of the Sith now confuses you with respect to the cameo...come to the spoiler thread I am about to create...

Wow.  I'd give the movie a 9/10.  

Yeah CoA is literally the first person I've seen give it a bad review.

agree with all of this. but i'm going to give it a 6/10. I don't go to a movie like this expecting realistic plot points. however the plot here was exceptionally bad. the acting was good, especially the little girl, which is all you really ask of a movie like this. my main complaint would be that the set up for the next chapter to this story was cheesy as all hell. however if they do it right there is potential for some really great stories.

Jumanji is one the the biggest surprises for me ever in a movie. LOVED it. Think I have 9/10.

Agreed, i was pleasantly surprised by Jumanji.  I have zero expectations for the upcoming Purge movie, but hopefully it is a surprise as well.
