Absolutely. Sports should be a meritocracy (as should many things). If she can do the job, let her do the job. If she can't, cut her.
Might as well try it, though.
I just want her to suit up so the world can watch her fail. The Buccs kicker misses, and no one cares to focus on how hard the job is. "OMG, he missed a kick. It's so easy! Let a woman do it!" Every time you see shit like this, it's in a vacuum. Let her fail miserably (or succeed, who knows) in front of millions. Then we can write the same exact articles about her and be called sexist.
This story comes up all the time.......if she was so good at kicking then why didnt this happen in JH or HS football?
Last time I checked.....there isnt a lot of girls kicking for HS teams.

I can honestly say I'd start watching those music/singing/talent contest shows if more of them had animal attacks as integral parts of performances. Just think of how much more entertaining The Voice would be if contestants had to belt out their song while fending off a starving wolf out for blood!
