I think we should unban the people who were banned. They generated traffic and gave us somebody to argue with. Too many people here agree with each other and it's rather easy to block or ignore rather than ban.

I don’t think he’s technically banned but I’m not going to spend any time looking into it. I don’t care if he comes back and wouldn’t do anything to prevent it but that’s the extent of the effort I’m willing to put in. 

IIRC, S&L wasn’t banned for having unpopular opinions. We put up with him criticizing our incredibly reckless and dangerous lives back in the early days of Covid. After a while he just intentionally set out to derail threads and offer nothing of substance.

To be fair, I did make the site function poorly for his username, but I don't think I did anything when he came back with a different username. I can't remember fully how it all played out, but it started with him becoming unhinged that a few of us weren't hiding in our homes from the big scary virus.

He and Sleeper became totally different people after they finally found a woman willing to have sex.

I'll always picture S&L working in a scene straight out of "Boiler Room" after he recommended that oil stock, just the most ignorant brain dead shit I've ever read. And I actually just let it slide, because to bust his balls for it would have proven he was absolutely incompetent as a financial advisor (it's one thing to call someone an idiot anonymously online, and a complete other to post their 820 SAT score).  Then a few weeks later in a Biden thread he made an off-handed comment about how "many" of his clients were in the early stages of dementia....

Ah, perhaps why I thought he was initially banned. 

I just remembered the time he lost his mind when I said life was too short to get upset when the Reds suck. He said I wasn't a real fan and I accepted his terms and he just couldn't handle it. I'm about 75% sure that's how that played out.
