That jackass didn't even read the study. They measured time to order to delivery, so all the time waiting for the 20 cars ahead of you to order didn't affect the results.
Drive thru mechanics really aren't that complicated and has a lot more to do with the staging and mechanics inside picking the order. If they have to make fries, you're going to wait quite a bit longer
My experience with Wendy's is when I place an order - in an empty line mind you - they are holding the bag out the window by the time I pull up. And that's been my experience all over the country. Yeah, I've also been to some really bad ones where I had to wait but that's rare.
