I go back and forth on this.
If you are going to slow a virus that has a 3-4% mortality rate, the easiest way is to avoid spaces where there are large gatherings.
If the Governors of states, based on their health departments are making those recommendations, it is only prudent to follow them. No one wants a death of a person to be caused by them going to an event and coming in contact with the virus.
It sucks, it really does as it means a ton of events are getting cancelled, but at this rate, given what the health experts are saying, all these cancellations make sense.
