It's pretty crazy when you realize most of these countries are no bigger than our largest states.
Hungary has a little less than 10M people - a little smaller than MI, which is our 10th most populous state. CA has almost 40M people, vs Italy with 60M people.
Gives you an idea how critical the governors are in handling this. Cuomo was just talking about trying to coordinate capacity and supplies at various hospitals across the state. Yep, that's why some of the most critical decisions are state/local responses. And, ummmm, we've known something like this was coming for at least 20 years and it doesn't sound like they were very prepared for that level of coordination.
We've criticized Dewine some, but he's been pretty on top of this. Although the states with the most cases align almost perfectly with the 10 largest metro airports - could be why MI is seeing more cases than OH, and I believe they have a much higher concentration in the Detroit metro area.
